Hi so this something I made a little over 3 years ago during grade 12 when it was still half online classes for us and this was for the school paper, not really the best but I didn't really want this going to waste either (even if it is just a short ver of what went down during pandemic) so I hope you like this :)
Sorry if this is a bit short by the way didn't want to make this that long at the time since there was very limited space offered to us

3rd Person

Students could be seen all over the school grounds, corridors, in front of the teachers' offices, in their classrooms, literally everywhere...well there is a reason why it's a school after all. Most of them could be seen talking to each other as they walked towards the school gate, the only barrier separating them from the outside world. Others could be seen passing their already due activities or projects to their teachers, the rest were probably just fixing their things, double-checking everything in case they left anything before they headed home after another long and tiring day.

"Hey Kazuha!" a girl calls out, chasing after her friend who was already heading to the exit of their school.

The said girl looked back setting her eyes on her friend who was running toward her with all her might "Hey you already passed your project?" Kazuha asks the moment her friend reaches her.

The girl takes in a few deep breaths clearly tired from the little sprint she did which makes the younger chuckle slightly. She has the urge to tease her friend about it but she decides not to, for now anyway, there would always be another opportunity next time "Yeah I did, that was my last one now all we have to get through is clearance" she answers before wrapping an arm around Kazuha's shoulders.

They both proceed to walk out of the school, heading to their next destination which just happens to be a fast food place nearby the school where they could eat. As they continue to walk they start talking about the things that happened in their classes like the funny answers some of their classmates said, the crazy things they did during recess and lunch, the stories their teachers talked about, the upcoming events that were going to happen in their school just anything that could come to their minds at the moment.

"Oh yeah, Sakura did you hear about the virus that's been going around?" Kazuha asks her friend though knowing Sakura, she has probably already searched every known information about it and what it can do the moment she heard of it.

"Yeah I did, I'm pretty sure everyone knows about the virus," the older says as she starts to recall the things she searched about the virus the day before, the things she saw honestly worried her a bit but she decided not to think about it for now and focus on her time together with Kazuha.

The taller girl only nods, instead of being like Sakura who opted to focus on their time together she started thinking about the topic she brought and a bit too deeply at that. With the virus being such a hot topic nowadays everyone knows the effects it has and how fatal it can be to people "You think it's gonna spread here as well?" she asks, worried that they might end up like other countries at the moment if it started spreading throughout Japan as well.

That didn't surprise Sakura though since it was really worrying what really shocked the older girl was seeing Kazuha like this, she knows the girl doesn't usually worry this much about these kinds of things since she's mostly focused on school and herself at the moment but this virus? Maybe it was different from the other things going on around the world or maybe it was really different, way too different on that because this was on a whole other level.

The shorter girl is quick to reassure her friend though not wanting her to worry more than she already is because of what she's thinking "It's not gonna spread here don't worry so much."
