"I already finished reading that," Ash grinned when Serena showed a book she was reading. Her long hair was tied up in a ponytail that enhanced her face more. Ash kept on growing fond of her and her cute behavior.

They became friends after that encounter and they've been hanging out mostly in library. Ash was happy that he found something; no someone to keep him distracted for a while to save his energy for games. Meanwhile Serena was flipping through pages. Ash observed her, biting his lip and then decided to have fun with her.

"You know what happens at the end?" He asked her with puppy eyes so that he can just blurt out the spoiler without getting punished, to which Serena playfully hit him in the arm.

"Don't!" She muttered and he clearly was enjoying this. He wanted to see more of her reactions, he kept on teasing her more.

"Let's go get something to eat, finish that fast!" Ash whined as he stomach was grumbling.

"Finish that fast please."

Ash said in a very distinctive tone that was bit cold and Serena clicked her mouse pressing the send button. She gave a side eye to his attitude and wanted to get out of this place but she couldn't. She had to earn money for now.

She stood up and asked some of the staff if they wanted anything to drink and then looked at Ash who was doing his work. The other female staff went along with her and then after a while they came with coffee for everyone except;

Ash.

A fellow employee who tagged along with serena offered him a drink that wasn't coffee. It was caramel latte and he was surprised to see that drink over there. His eyes immediately shifted to Serena who was sipping her coffee as she seemed to notice his gaze on her. She stopped and looked at Ash who looked away.

He didn't touch that drink at all; it was just there. After few minutes ash was having a chat with his friend, Ash handed the drink to him. Serena watched this and bit her lip at this rude behavior. She didn't like it one bit. She was so skeptical regarding this; she just wanted to clear the atmosphere because most of the colleagues assumed that there's something going on between her and Ash.

Well there was something but now, it's nothing except work.

Everyone were getting off work and there was just Ash and Serena. He packed his stuff and headed out without sparing a glance at her. She was still working and she wanted to finish it before the deadline and that deadline was 2 days later. She's always been like, finishing work promptly, never procrastinating. She wasn't one of those people who pull an all nighter before the deadline. (she only pulled an all nighter just to complete a book so that a particular person doesn't give her the spoilers)

After half an hour she stepped out and Ash looked at her. He waited half an hour in car, he denied his emotions not terming it 'care' rather than it was his duty to make sure his team stays safe. Yeah.

Ash was about to leave but then he saw Serena waving at someone with full energy. His brows drew together noticing a tall male with long hair. He looked really good and hugged Serena, holding her hand and walking away from that place. Ash sighed. Ofcourse it had to happen and he wasn't taking it seriously. People move on and that's the basic principle.

After Ash left, Serena peered at the vehicle that got past them. She gave a soft smile to herself.

"What happend?" Calem who noticed the change in her facial expression asked her.

"Nothing!" She said and beamed at calem squeezing his hand, talking about her new workplace, people and calem watched his girlfriend babble non stop about all the designs, she was too adorable.

They kept on giggling and walking on a chilly night appreciating eachothers work.
