Serena held ash's hand who led the way inside.  She just wore jeans and full sleeve shirt as she felt comfy with her attire. She scanned around seeing people dance, people talk, people makeout right there and then.

Serena was clearly uncomfortable. She squeezed ash's hand who was looking for his friend.

Ash took Serena to a less crowded place, a kitchen where snacks were kept. Serena contemplated whether to have those snacks or what if those were drugged-

"Yo Gary!" Ash called out to his friend who hugged Ash. They spoke and Serena awkwardly looked here and there. She just finally took a bite of the snack and scrolling her phone to make it less awkward. Ash was still involved in conversation over there but now many people around him.

Not once he spared a glance at her.

That's what she thought.

"You alone?" A dude approached Serena with a glass, Serena was unbothered by his mere presence.

"Nope I came with my boyfriend."  And the guy came more close to Serena. She shifted towards her left side, creating a space between her and the dude.

"A beautiful girl like you shouldn't be alone. Come on let's have some fun together!" He said and Serena just sighed. At this point he was being too close and she started feeling uncomfortable.

"I said I have a boyfr-" and a punch was thrown on the random dude who fell down. Serena looked at Ash who clenched his jaw. She couldn't believe her eyes.

"Stop. Bothering my girlfriend." He said and Serena scoffed. She couldn't handle all this now. She just walked away, with rage as Ash called her name again and again in the loud music.

They were finally outside, alone.

"I really really didn't want to go to this party." She said and ash looked defeated.

"Did you even notice how uncomfortable I was? All you did was speak to your friends. Did you even introduce me to your friends?" She said trying to maintain her clam and Ash was so done at this point. He gave a look to her and she was surprised.

"It's always about you. You, you, you! You are so selfish. Not even once you considered my feelings!" Narrowing his eyes.

He wanted to feel something. That's why he tried partying like he did before, taking away the sleeplessness he felt everyday.

"Don't give me that. HOW MANY TIMES DID I ASK IF YOU ARE OKAY OR NOT?" Serena said glaring at Ash and he scoffed.

"Yeah? Serena you didn't understand me at all, ALL THIS TIME. I WAS FAKING A SMILE. you really didn't notice me did you?" Ash said his voice cracking up.

Serena was left there speechless. Just like adding fuel to fire Ash said the words he regretted alot.

"I should've never met you in the first place." And he realised what he said. He looked at Serena who was in verge of tears.

"I hate you Ash ketchum. We are done." She whispered wiping away the tears and walked away from that spot.

Ash didn't reach out to her and he wasn't surprised. He did feel better after fighting, after expressing but he didn't mean the last sentence. He didn't really mean that. It came out by mistake.

And knowing that mistake cannot be forgiven Ash gave up. He just kneeled down in the empty garden where nobody was there. The dj, the sound of people screaming was heard but Ash covered his ears.

"Please. . I'm sorry. ." He whispered crying.

"Are you okay Ash?" Serena asked Ash and he blinked twice. He saw Serena with concern in her eyes and just hugged her. Serena was taken back by the sudden hug but she patted him. Ash just cried loudly and she whispered.

"Is something Bothering you? You could've told me right. . What happend?" She asked sweetly and Ash just hugged her more tightly. He was afraid to let go of her now. He was sorry. He was ready to spill everything that was going on with him.

"I'm sorry. . I didn't mean that. ." He said sniffing but after a second she got up. Ash looked confused and she walked away.

"Serena!"

Ash woke up from the sudden jolt and he realised he was dreaming. He sighed twice and then went down to drink water. It was 3 AM, Ash didn't feel sleepy at all later.

An image of Serena crossed his mind where they both were laughing together and Ash started tearing up. He was the one who ruined their relationship. He couldn't get her back now after all the harsh things he said.

His pillow was covered in tears as he remembered each and every moment with serena. He didn't regret meeting her at all he loved her alot. He was thankful for her. He patted himself to sleep, crying again and again.
