Serena was standing near the balcony, taking a sip of the coffee. It was a chilly afternoon and she liked the weather. She smiled at herself and then she felt someone coming next to her she turned to look at Ash who took a sip of his latte.

"Nice weather isn't it?" He asked and she nodded. She wanted to go out with her boyfriend and have something warm and cozy. She smiled at the thought of going out with her boyfriend.

"Can I talk to you?" Ash said mustering the courage and Serena nodded.

"I am sorry. For everything Serena." He said and she stopped smiling. He sounded geniune.

"I- I was suffering from insomnia and mood swings. I still am but it got alot better. I didn't mean things I said that day." He smiled and then noticed the sadness in her eyes. "Meeting you was one of the best things that happened to me. Infact, I'm glad that we met here too. ."

"Ash I am sorry too. Only if I hugged you instead of fighting, things wouldn't change. I got to know about your condition when it was our graduation day. ." She said softly.

"Since then I felt so responsible. ." She said sighing.

"It's not your fault come on. You tried whatever you could help me. . I am sorry for not treating you nicely.." He said and gave a small smile.

"It's okay. I am happy that you are doing better than before." She said and smiled. They felt nostalgic as before dating they were friends. Really good friends who used to hang out together.

But after breaking up, they were left with guilt. Trying to cover up with anger they did move on but Ash and Serena deep down they knew. The guilt can never be replaced by something else.

They didn't blame eachother they blamed the situation and themselves. Both of them had over expectations on eachother and Ash was not that honest with his feelings. Serena on the other hand was sensitive and didn't like changes that hurt her alot during their relationship. Even the smallest change she sensed within Ash just stabbed her again and again so in the end she couldn't tolerate it.

Ash was never honest with his feelings. Starting he felt comfortable with her but later he was seeking for comfort. Both were kids dating for the first time and were so close that it just took one argument leading to their breakup.

That day Ash went home and he felt like a huge burden was lifted from his mind which was weighing heavily all these years. Serena too enjoyed her date with calem talking about her day and telling she feels much better.

Calem was happy for her because he saw Serena at her worst when she broke up with Ash. Calem knew her because she always came to visit the lake near the neighborhood where calem stayed. She looked sad, everyday. He gave her company and helped her get through this as he started developing feelings for Serena.

Surprisingly she did get over Ash but ofcourse deep down her precious memories are buried within her heart. The chapter is finally over for Serena as she went home and kept the box that had their pictures, their paintings, their letters inside the attic. Even tho they aren't in relationship anymore Serena wants what's best for Ash.

She went to her boyfriend who was sitting on the sofa watching the basketball match. Serena smiled at him and snuggled to calem who kissed her forehead.

The next morning Lillie came over nervously she knocked the door. She held a box of cookies and was excited to meet Ash. The door opened and revealed Ash with a cap that covered his hair, a mask, gloves, apron ( that was sailor moon themed) and she chuckled. He looked embarrassed as she apologised for laughing but she couldn't stop laughing at all.

Ash looked very adorable.

"I uh bought cookies . ." She said shyly and Ash asked her to come in. Lillie had an idea.

"Can I help you clean your house?" She asked and Ash hesitated. She understood him so she added "I love cleaning don't worry! And I'm good at it!"

Ash nodded at Lillie and handed her gloves and apron. Lillie tied her hair in a bun and Ash smacked himself for staring at her when she was tying her hair.

They were having fun as Ash played the music, both of them singing and dancing together. This way they completed every room except the guest room.

"That painting is really cute." Lillie said and ash smiled at her.

"It was gifted by my ex." And Lillie felt her heart drop. Does he still like her?

"You see I was feeling awful because I didn't treat her nicely so I kept this painting. But now i feel better so I'm going to keep this inside the attic haha," He said opening the cupboard keeping it safely.

Lillie didn't want to make any moves right now especially when she thought he wasn't over his ex but just then Ash interrupted her thoughts.

"Hey. . Wanna go on a date today?" He asked and Lillie widened her eyes. A date? She blinked again to confirm what she heard was right or wrong.

"Hey. . don't just stare at me like that. Is it a yes?" Ash asked hopefully with a small blush and Lillie nodded enthusiastically.
