Ash noticed changes in Serena. She's now hanging out with few people, interacting and making new friends. But she hates attention, Ash knew that by her behavior. Whenever they went out if she felt people's gaze she'd just cover her face with her long hair.

Ash was talking to group of people laughing and joking around but then he saw Serena from afar, his eyes flickered and his heart started thumping loudly.

He waved at Serena and everyone's attention turned towards her. She just gave a small wave and rushed towards the library, their usual spot where both of them spent quality time with eachother without any disturbance.

She settled down keeping her books aside sighing. She felt the daggers from the girls who surrounded Ash, hence she just wanted to escape.

Ash walked towards Serena but he noticed more people than usual. He shrugged thinking it was nothing and took a seat next to Serena.

"Not fair!" He pouted and she looked at him adjusting her spectacles.

"What do you mean? You know I hate the looks I get . ." Serena said and ash nodded, understanding her situation. But he didn't want to pretend not to know her even tho he knows her alot more than anyone else in the campus.

"Yeah but aren't we friends? Please don't ignore my existence I'm hurt." He said pouting and Serena felt guilty. She gave up and with a soft smile she nodded.

"You're right. I'm sorry." She sighed. Ash just jokingly told that but he didn't know she took it seriously.

As days passed by Ash noticed familiar boys in the library.  He silently went near them and wanted to have a look at whatever made them come here almost like everyday.

Rather than something it was someone.

It was Serena. He was enchanted by her as she flipped through the pages. The sunlight passing through the windows hit her, making her hair and skin glow. The color pink complimented her so much.

"She looks like a fairy. ." One of them whispered and Ash agreed with a yes. He snapped out of it and then gave a side eye at two boys who were standing infront of him.

"Go do your work," He said and the two of them turned to take a good look at Ash.

"What's your problem?" One arrogant dude glared at Ash. He scoffed and then gave a death stare.

"She's my girlfriend." He admitted as if it was really true, to which those two boys chuckled. It hurt ash's pride and he glared at them heading towards Serena. She yawned and noticed Ash approving as she gave a small wave.

He looked mad, she wanted to ask him what happened.

He took a seat and bit his lip flashing a smile. Serena looked so confused with the sudden smile as his hand slowly moved towards her hair. He tucked her golden locks behind her ear and cupped her face.

Serena felt butterflies in her stomach, her eyes widened by his sudden actions. He caressed her cheek with his thumb, looking deeply into her eyes.

"Did you wait for too long?" He asked and this was it.

Serena was so embarrassed, freaking out, hiding her face with her hair to which Ash chuckled. From the corner of his eyes he saw the boys leaving and with a satisfied grin he faced Serena.

She didn't face him at all, but when she finally revealed her face, it was ash's turn to be a tomato.

Her cheeks were the color of red roses and her eyes sparkled brightly, she didn't smile nor frown. The light rays hitting her from back made her hair glow golden and Ash was enchanted.

"I- I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that without permission. " He said stuttering looking away from Serena. She sighed and asked for a reason to which Ash didn't respond.

"Was this a prank?" She asked tying her hair in a ponytail. Ash just stared at her doing this.

"Haha did your heart flutter?" He jokingly asked to which Serena didn't answer anything. She remained silent. Ash stopped the fake laugh and his eyes widened at the sight of her ears.

They were flaming red. And due to her skin complexion it was very evident. She was very expressive.

Ash started laughing hard this time and Serena hit him with a book. She just wished he never did this again, even if he did she would just faint, she was surprised at herself right now.
