Nancy Wyzek sat on the counter of the store she called home with a half-eaten Milkyway in her hand and her legs dangling off the side of the raised surface.

It had almost been an hour and there was no word from Tony or Riff to know where they were or if they were alright.

She worried for both of them for different reasons, Riff was charging head first into his rivalry but Tony didn't know what he was getting himself into by trying to make peace with the Sharks.

And he should have been home by now.

It wasn't hard for her to finish the candy bar, curtesy of the nerves jumping around her body at a quicker pace than usual. The candy rapper fell into the garbage bin as Nancy began to pace the floor.

She wasn't able to for very long because of a knock that was heard at the door that repeated in a strange pattern.

knock knock...knock...knock knock

Valentina was asleep so Nancy tried to be as discreet as she could when opening the door. When she did so, she was surprised to see no one standing outside the door or around the shop's entrance.

"Hello?"

Nancy's voice echoed into the night with no response back. Curiosity took over as the door closed behind her and she took a few steps to glance into the alleyway beside the store.

She called out again but there was still no response as to who could have knocked on the door.

Annoyed, she began to retreat inside but was interrupted by someone from the opposite direction wrapping their arms around her waist and turning her around to face them.

A squeal (on the verge of a yell) escaped Nancy's lips at the unknown of who's hands were on her hips but sighed when she saw the face of the Jet she was so fond of.

"You scared me!" Nancy's voice was raised as she balled her hands into fists.

All Riff could do was smile at the startled girl, "You waited!"

She rolled her eyes as the small bit of frustration fizzled away. The pair took a few steps toward each other so they could finally embrace one another after being apart for only a little hour.

"Of course I would! It was either that or wait till Tony comes wandering home." Nancy teased with her arms still lingering around Riff's neck.

"Don't worry 'bout him, I'm sure he'll find his way back." Riff smirked.

Nancy released her arms from around the Jet to go sit on the front steps of the store. "How did it go with the Sharks?"

He immediately followed and sat right beside her. "Just the way we wanted it to, the rumble is set up and my guys are ready. But enough talk about that..." He trailed off and glanced down at Nancy's lips.

The two didn't realize how close they were to the other until they barely had to move to connect their lips.

Once they did, it seemed like their lips hadn't touched in years. They found a rhythm easily as Nancy wrapped her arms around Riff's neck. He felt her hands slowly move to his hair as his found her waist.

But the two both noticed that when they kissed this time, it was much different than the first time. Passion and emotion laced their hands and lips until they were almost out of breath.
