Monsters are scary. Everyone knew that, especially at night. An abyss mage can teleport behind you and make you scream in pain; a mitachurl can charge at you the least you expect it; and hilichurls can gang up on you and throw rocks at you. When a child is growing up, everything in this world is frightening; even adults get scared when they see a ruin guard.
So, how did I fall in love with you when you're fighting that thing?
And how come you're so powerful at our age?
Years later, many things have happened to me. Things are still scary, but not monsters. The most terrifying thing is that I still have hope that you and I will face the same monster in the future. Knowing nothing about you makes my wishes slim and out of reach.
