The Blumenthals, one of the original clans in Mondstadt, are a clan filled with vision users. Cryo vision: all of them are gifted by the archon called Tsaritsa. One of the clans that helped make Mondstadt into the city that it currently is. A city of freedom that has a powerful love for their archon, Barbatos.

Most clans are helpful to their people; although some are corrupt, most of them are helpful—well, not the Blumenthals. They're the only clan that people are scared of, mostly because of how powerful they are. The only people who can withstand the weather in Dragonspine and even make their mansion and land positioned in that part of Mondstadt.

Blumenthals often go out of their way just to kill monsters around Mondstadt; some of them are good enough to kill and clean up the aftermath, but some of them are so wretched to the point they don't even care if the monster is killed or not. They just leave it there, frozen. Many people have talked about how they get attacked by monsters they think are dead but are actually just frozen and still alive.

Because of this reputation, the Blumenthals become hated by people and often get a bad reputation just for existing. Over time, they tried to get their reputation back but nothing will be resolved unless they have different powers. It seems like the Ragnvindr clan is way better than them when it comes to helping people. Maybe because of their icy appearance?

After years of experimenting with their appearance and trying to look warmer, a baby is born. This baby is different; their skin doesn't look like a vampire, and their smile radiates warmth. They do have white hair, but that doesn't matter. Have they succeeded?

Ever since then, this baby has been taken care of; everything that the child wanted has always been given to them. This teen is so different from them, to the point that they received their vision on their 10th birthday. They're so unique that they even saved a Ragnvindr.

"Why did you save that, Ragnvindr?"

"Why not? He's going to get attacked by that Mitachurl, might as well," the teen said.

"Ragnvindrs are people we shouldn't trust!"

"Hm, that child looks cute; I think he's pretty trustable."

"Aish, you really are a weird one."

The teen didn't believe the way their family lives, so they did everything that they can to avoid it, to leave the clan, and to make their name different. Maybe if they change the way they dress and act, somebody will acknowledge them as Y/N, not as Blumenthal.

Granted, they succeeded in their mission, but they also failed because the acting grandmaster recognized them from the moment she met them. "Oh my, are you Y/n Blumenthal?" Jean asked, and Y/n immediately sighed.

Diluc stopped in his tracks when he heard that name. "Blumenthal? You? A Blumenthal?" Diluc said as he looked at Y/N again. They look nothing like Blumenthal. "Don't they have white hair?" Diluc asked, looking at Y/n's hair.

"Tsk, I dyed it, can't you tell?" By looking at their hair, DIluc noticed the patchy color of [h/c]. "Can you stop holding on to my wrist? It hurts, you know," Y/N said as Diluc let their hands go, standing guard at the door in case they tried to escape.

"So you're the thief, huh, Y/n?" Jean asked as she chuckled when she saw Y/n's eyes rolling. "You did succeed in changing your appearance, but your face says otherwise. Violet eyes are only native to Blumenthals," Jean explained as she stood up and walked towards Y/N.

"Tsk, I can't escape that fricking family name, huh?" Jean shook her head no, and Y/N sighed. "Listen, I can explain why I stole those foods, alright?" Jean nodded and made them explain.

Diluc, on the other hand, looked at Y/N's appearance and couldn't fathom the fact that they're Blumenthal, one of the original clans in Mondstadt. The question is, why are they acting like this? Is this a rebellion? Or did something happen in their family?

While thinking, a thought comes to his mind: wasn't his father talking to a Blumenthal that day? The day where he was saved by somebody who has white hair...? Wait, what if?

It was a Blumenthal who saved him.

Diluc's eyes opened fully, shocked from what he remembered. This didn't go unnoticed by Traveler and Paimon, though, as this is the first time they saw Diluc like this. "Master Diluc, are you okay?" traveler asked and Diluc got out of his trance.

"Oh, I have no worries," Diluc said as he crossed his arms, looking at his watch and seeing the time. "Oh, excuse me, Traveler; I will need to clock in soon. Inform Jean about my disappearance; apologies," he said as he walked out of the room, still a little dazed from the revelation.

"Master Diluc has been weird lately, don't you think, Traveler?" The latter just shrugged and listened to Y/N explain why they're stealing food.

"So, you're stealing food because your reputation will worsen, and that will make your family name worse?" Jean summarizes with a confused face, sighing when Y/N nodded happily. "Why are you doing this? I mean, your family name has a bad reputation on it already," Jean said, and Y/N shook their head.

"I need it to be worse; I don't like them after all," Y/N said, and Jean just sighed while rubbing her temple. "Hey, don't act like I'm a pain in the ass; that explosive kid is worse than me."

Jean dismissed all of them, and the three left the headquarters, parting ways, but Paimon flew toward Y/N. "Hey, wanna hang out with Traveler and Paimon?" She asked, as if she wasn't roasting the person earlier. "It's a sort of apology because Paimon was mean earlier," she said as she fidled with her hands.

"No thanks; I have some business to do." Y/N spoke and started walking away. Paimon and Traveler just shrugged and went towards Angel's share. "Tsk, I'll need to go back home; my hair looks like shit." Y/N murmured and kept walking until they heard a commotion.

They looked towards the noise and saw drunkards gathering around somebody, so they walked there. Maybe a fight will happen, and they can watch or even join them. But before they could even do anything, a flash of red hair appeared, and all of the drunkards quieted down. They saw the guy who arrested them earlier fixing his gloves and talking to the drunkards.

"Take your fights elsewhere; there are people wanting to relax here," Diluc said as he went inside and Y/N pouted.

"That guy is tough; he didn't even flinch when I used my vision on him," Y/n said as they walked outside the gates, going towards the route to Dragonspine. "Hmm, maybe that guy will be a good opponent."
