The sounds of something wishing and whooshing about sounded away in my ears and while the noise persisted, I felt as if my body was floating about in an ever-expanding void.
It felt terribly disorienting and for moments, my head felt groggy to the point I was on the verge of vomiting. In addition to it, there was nothing I could do to stop the feeling that kept on its steady pace to make me feel dizzy.
I couldn't feel anything other than my own head and in the dark abyss that my eye couldn't even see through its closed lids, I was feeling helpless and devoid of hope right then.
Yet, something within me was telling me I couldn't give up just yet, and though the dizziness continued, I kept my head held high and steered myself on in the effort to pass whatever I was experiencing at that moment.
Then, it finally stopped and a second later, the feeling of warmth enveloped my body. My mind was entirely at ease and the senses of my limbs that were cut off abruptly returned to my body's conscious command.
However, although I could finally move the previously locked away senses of my body, the wave of exhaustion that I unknowingly had wafted over me.
The comfort of what I slept on along with the feeling that made me want to snuggle deeper into the confines of my conscious mind, I wanted to continue sleeping on as the world that revolved around me continued its flow.
Yet the feeling that was coursing through my veins before then pushed me forth and with all my strength, I snapped my eyes open and there, I found an unfamiliar ceiling along with the chirping of birds outside my wind.
"Where am I..." I thought as I lay in the soft bed that was filled to the brim of pillows; my eyes continuing to stare upwards at the ceiling until I finally looked and turned toward the window where all I could see was a dense forest.
I tried to think back to how I got here but as I got up and sat to think, I couldn't remember a single detail of what brought me here and to add to that, nothing came across to my mind of past memories except for the fact of my name and my profession.
It was as if the memories in my head were forcefully locked away elsewhere, trapped and caged like a wild creature awaiting a release that it desperately yearns for.
The feelings of missing memories had me at a loss of words and for a moment, it was incredibly uncomfortable to be in this state of self.
I sat up straight onto the bed I was sleeping on and with my feet on the floor, I stood up and observed my surroundings.
Immediately, I could tell from the small interior of the room along with the abundance of small trinkets and homemade appliances that it was a place somewhat rural, and based on the chirping of the outside and the trees that stretched far above, it was a sort of cottage.
"To think I'd be in a cottage, but how did I get here?" I asked of myself as I began pacing around the room; my eyes quickly focusing on the door on one of the corners of the small room.
I needed to get more information to actually find out where I was and walking towards the door, I felt that one way to find out where I was would be to ask someone who might know what happened to me to have ended up here.
I turned the knob of the door and with a small creek, it gave way and what presented before me was another door parallel to me in an open hallway.
Walking out of the room, I found myself standing in the middle of a hall that seemed to almost touch both sides of my shoulders making my way to one end of the path, there I saw the found person the first person I'd encountered since waking up.
