Summer break was almost here. Lilly couldn't wait. That meant, pools, beaches, sun, and fun. And of course, let's not forget the parties.
The bell rings, signaling the end of school. All the students leave their classes and fill the halls with chatter and laughter.
It's been two months since Lilly started going out with Kieran. They made it official after a movie date at Kieran's house.
~Flashback~
"What movies did you get?" Lilly asks as she sits down on the couch with a bowl of popcorn.
Kieran had gotten them some screwdrivers to drink. Having stolen a bottle of vodka from the liquor cabinet downstairs.
"I got some scary movies. Hellraiser, Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street." Kieran holds up the tapes.
"I vote A Nightmare on Elm Street," Lilly says.
Kieran chuckles before putting the tape into the VCR and letting it play.
Halfway through the movie, Kieran turns to Lilly as he pauses the movie. "Lilly, we've been going out for a month now, and I finally want to ask you.... to be mine. Officially."
Lilly smiles as she lets out a giggle, "Yes. Of course." She leans over and pulls him in for a kiss.
~End Flashback~
Two months since Stu started going out with Casey. But all through those two months, he wanted Lilly. Every time he'd fuck Casey, he'd think of Lilly. He knew how fucked up that was but the whole reason he got with Casey was to make Lilly jealous.
He pulls up to Casey's house after she calls him to come over. Said they needed to talk.
He turns off his car and gets out onto the grass. Walking up to her door, he knocks and waits.
The door opens, revealing Casey with a sad smile. "Hey, Cas. What'd you wanna talk about?"
"Come in. It's better if we do this inside."
Stu steps inside and follows her into the living room. They sit down on the couch, and Casey lets out a sigh.
"Stu... I think you're amazing. These past two months have been great. But... there's someone else." Casey says.
Anger and resentment start bubbling in Stu's stomach, turning into hurt and heartbreak as it travels up his chest. "Who?" He keeps his voice calm.
Casey sighs and looks away from him.
"Who? Casey." Stu growls.
"Steve Orth." Casey reluctantly admits.
Stu shoots up from his seat, "So, everything I suspected was true? I thought he was just a friend."
