Between loud chatter that surrounded her and the billboard of after school activities, Miko couldn't help feel a bit lonely. She had never had friends mostly because of her illness but also she was super shy as a kid and always hid behind her brothers whenever someone new tried to approach her. So she wasn't very good at socializing either way.
It WAS only the fifth day of school so she hoped that at least she could make some friends. Like the weirdos that sat behind her in homeroom! Although...they were Rin's teammates. Would that make things awkward? Or Kurona? She had, quite literally, bumped into him a couple times and he sat in front of her. He was a little quiet compared to the others but that didn't brother her too much.
Walking into the classroom, she was greeted with some of the other second years gathered near Chigiri.
"Miko, are you going to the game tonight?"
"For soccer? Um, yeah. Rin asked me and I have nothing better to do."
"Oh, is Sae Itoshi going to be there? Man, he's really terrifying! I remember in first year, he called me a lukewarm first year because I had tried to intercept a pass but failed." Igarashi said becoming all pouty.
Miko laughed a little while sitting her seat, that definitely sounded like Sae. She had never picked up the habit but her Papa used to say 'lukewarm' a lot in their childhood. Rin and Sae copied him but she always went for calling people weirdos, because they were weird. "I don't think he's all scary, but no he's not going to show up. He's busy in another country."
"Spain, right?" Kunigami asked
"Uh huh. He's thir midfielder for national team." Miko said smiling to herself a little. She would love so much to go to a game but unfortunately they hadn't had any recent games. They continued on with their conversation without her and she started reading. Lately, she had started a new manga called Goodnight Punpun and found it interesting.

Soon they're conversation ended and Kurona sat down in the seat in front of her. Suddenly becoming really nervous, Miko had zero idea how to start a conversation . It was like any social skills she had, not that she had much, had died and she was awkwardly staring down at her
"Itoshi? Do you have yesterdays homework homework?" Kurona asked turning around to face her with a small blush.
"I-" Miko had never felt so embarrassed in her life. Stuttering in front of a cute guy she wanted to be friends with was definitely going to play in her mind for the rest of her life. Coming to haunt her late at night when she couldn't sleep.
"Ah, Miko?"
"Oh sorry, I spaced out there looking at your braid. It's super cute, did you braid it yourself?" Miko was having an internal panic attack as she smiled. She said that out loud?! Damn it, he definitely didn't like her now. Crap! Crap!
"Ah, yeah. I usually braid my hair in the morning."
"That's super cool. Um, here's yesterdays homework assignment." Miko let him copy the pages and he turned back to his desk to complete it
Kurona wasn't much of a talker so that might making trying to be friends with him hard. Well, it wasn't like she could go to Rin for help, he didn't really have friends. None that she knew of anyway. Her dad wouldn't be home till after work, so should she ask for mom for help? Ah, why was making friends so difficult?

Opening the door, Miko was greeted with warmth and the scent of dinner cooking. Unfortunately, she had to walk home by herself instead of with RIn, because of the game in two hours. He always likes to get some some practice in before a game, not that he needed it, but he assured her it made him more prepared. The girl slipped her shoes her shoes and set her bag down before sitting in the stools next to the counter.
