Miko was NOT infact fine.
She had a fever of 101.2 and was very sick.
After their trip in Spain, Miko immediately caught a cold from the rain and was now suffering the consequences. Sae, who got lucky, had a week before his next game and decided to return to Japan just for a few days. Mostly because he wanted to rub the 'I told you so' card in poor Miko's face but also, he wanted to make sure she was okay. Even if she was acting like she wasn't even sick at all.
"That's stuff is so gross," Miko muttered as she finished drinking the medicine.
"And that's why you were a coat. I'll be back with soup," Rin said, getting up from her bed.
Miko laid back on her fluffy pillows and tried to ignore the pounding in her head as she did so. Just minutes later Rin came back with that soup of warm soup and turned on her TV.
"Terrifier 2?" Rin asked and she nodded. In their family, sick days were spent in bed watching movies and taking that gross medicine. She couldn't believe how much she missed this. Such a small moment, yet it meant to much.
Miko stared up at Ron's unemotional face and smiled with admiration. Also, Rin was so just adorable, she leaned over and poked his cheek to receive a glare.
"Thank Rin,"
Rin rolled his eyes and turned back to the TV, "Whatever, just get done with your soup," but couldn't help the ever so smile creeping at the corners of his lips.
By the time the movie was done, Miko had passed out and was curled up against Rin. He gently touched her forehead and sighed feeling how warm she was. Idiot. He couldn't believe Sae had let her walk around in the rain. He quickly tucked her back into bed and set a timer to remind himself to wake her up so she could get some fluids. He sighed staring at the pink hairclip she had used to push back some of his hair and set it on her desk. Then he left the room and gentle shut the door behind him. Suddenly he looked to his left as Sae exited his room and started walking to her door.
"She's sleeping," Rin muttered, barely glancing at him as he did so.
"She had to take her meds,"
"She took them already after I made her soup,"
There was a tense silence in the air as Sae stared at the back of Rin's head. They stood there for a moment before Sae hummed and knocked her door,
"She's sleeping."
"I'm just checking to see if she's okay,"
"Why wouldn't she be?" Rin said sounding slightly offended.
"Boys." Their mother said standing a few away with her arms crossed, "Continue fighting all you want but you won't do it around Miko."
They grumbled and went back to their own rooms. Their mother sighed at stared at the fading stickers on Miko's door, remembering how the siblings put them their when they were younger.
She frowned and went back downstairs

Miko winced as she sat up, her head already pounding. Moments later there was a knock at the door, she frowned and laid back on the bed as Sae entered the room. He held the thermometer in his hand and a cup of water in the other one.
After a minute the thing beeped, and Sae remained unfazed.
"You're getting better," He mumbled "99.1"
"Doesn't feel like it," Miko sighed after drinking the water. "My head hurts,"
"Get some rest then. Hopefully you'll get better soon so I don't have to keep taking care of you," Sae said putting a hand on her head and she smiled happily.
