"Hedda honey, how are you feeling?" Hugh's voice drifts through my foggy mind.

A minute later I feel wet slobbery kisses all over my face. What a calamity! Ew!

"Hugh that's disgusting, get off," I try to push him away before rubbing my eyes so I can see.

I'm in bed. But it's Henry licking my face, not Hugh.

"At least someone is happy to see me," I croak out, thankful my boyfriend isn't kissing me like a fish or I'd have to dump him. "Hugh isn't it nice to have you in my bed for once?"

A cough interrupts me and 'Lijah is awkwardly stood in the doorway alone.

"Hedda," he comes in warily, almost as if he's expecting me to nakedly pounce on Hugh.

I would never.

At least not when 'Lijah's there.

"Has Hugh proved enough for you?" I ask in irritation, waiting to see if my stupid brothers will haul him off to torture him like they threatened to.

"He won't be harmed under my watch," a female voice makes me lift my head to see who else is here.

"Cami!" I smile broadly in relief. "I knew you'd stick up for us."

She offers a smile in return even while telling me off, "you are still in trouble Hedda. Sneaking off to see Kol was irresponsible but I'm very glad you're home safe."

I look sheepishly at her before she backs off, telling me I need my rest before we discuss my behaviour later. I'm not looking forward to it. Cami can be scary when she knows she's right and I'm wrong.

"Niklaus and I have discussed Mr Fell's actions last night," 'Lijah states frankly and I grasp Hugh's hand, hoping my brothers are more reasonable after a good night sleep. "We will permit him to stay however he is not allowed to sleep over with you. He must take a guest room."

My annoyed expression contorts to that of disgust.

"Seriously? You know I don't care about your rules at all right?" I fold my arms and try to pick a fight now I know Hugh is safe.

"Trust has been lost through your reckless actions," he puts something down on the bedside table and I peer at it before going bright red.

It's a box of pregnancy tests.

'Lijah is just as mortified by this conversation and he starts to speak again before thinking better of it, spinning around and heading out of the room. He doesn't have to say anything, I know what he wants me to do.

"Well, this is certainly one way to meet your family," Hugh starts to laugh at the situation. I love how he can find humour in it. It means he isn't going to leave me because of them.

"Yeah I suppose," I laugh too. "It's always crazy like this but we love each other more than anything."

Hugh smiles, "I love you more than anything."

He leans in for a kiss but we're interrupted by my stupid brother 'Lijah again. It is completely intentional, he probably thinks I'll risk us getting pregnant right now if he doesn't stop us kissing.

Idiot.

"Take that test now Hedda," he instructs sternly and I nod, panicking internally about how silly I've been when I actually stop and think about it.

I do want a baby, I really want a baby. But not right now, maybe in a few years after Hugh and I get married.

I might be a teenager and still stupid and reckless but a baby is a serious commitment that I don't think I'm ready for yet. There's a lot of growing up for me to do in the meantime, however much I hate to admit it.
