SATURDAY
"Do you want to hang out sometime? He asks, "like a date?"
It takes me a second to process what he means since I've never actually been asked out before, other than in the second grade when a boy asked me out to a play date. Yeah, I guess that's a little different.
"Uhm-" I begin awkwardly. A small frown tugs on his lips and I realise he thinks I'm saying no. "No, no. Yes."
"Wait, yes? Or no?" He asks, confused as well as me. "There's no pressure, it's up to you."
"Yes. I want to." I say, hoping that's much more clearer while my thoughts are anything but.
His bites down on his lip, as if holding back a grin. "Okay, I'll text you."
I nod. "Congrats again, you were great." I manage, sure my face is a bright red.
"You guys ready to go?" Teresa asks, walking up to us making me jump.
"Yep." Quinn says and I notice the others come back? towards the car too. Did they know he was going to ask? By there faces I assume they did.
Quinn and Logan get in his car while Teresa, the others and I get in the other.
Holy shit.

"Hello?!! Tell me what happened!" Logan demands, buzzing in her seat.
"Lo, just put your seatbelt on first please." I say, pulling out of the car park and on to the road where my mom follows behind. I'm glad I'm not in the same car as Madeline because I can't wipe the massive dorky grin off my face.
Logan clicks in her seatbelt and looks at me eagerly. "Well?"
"I asked her." I confirm.
"And?"
"She said yes." I finish.
"I knew she would." Logan grins, pointing to her head, "Psychic."
"I don't even know when we're going out or if she'll change her mind." I say, "Where do I even take her?"
"Aren't dates generally at a restaurant?" She says, raising her eyebrows.
"Yes, but is that her thing? I want to make sure she's comfortable and having fun." I sigh and flex my hands over the wheel. "I don't know."
"Try think about what she likes." Lo suggests.
"Books, music. Coffee. Bookstore?" I say, "I could take her to the Waterstones in Piccadilly. They have a cafe too."
"See? Easy." Logan says, "Do that."
"Okay, maybe I will. I'll ask her tomorrow."

When I pull on to the drive, my moms still out dropping Rowan, Phoebe and Olivia off so Logan and I go into the house and I head upstairs to my bedroom. I grab my journal from my desk, as Lance suggested I start writing the things I'm grateful for everyday.
∙ 𝓜𝓸𝓶
∙ 𝓛𝓸𝓰𝓪𝓷
∙ 𝓡𝓾𝓰𝓫𝔂
∙ 𝓕𝓸𝓸𝓭
∙ 𝓖𝓸𝓸𝓭 𝓶𝓾𝓼𝓲𝓬
∙ 𝓓𝓪𝓽𝓮 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓜𝓪𝓭𝓼?After I finish that, I write down a recount of how my anxiety was. Today was my first panic attack in months, but I got through it. Thanks to her. As if brought on by my thoughts, I hear the engine of my mom's car and look out the window to see Madeline walking into her house.
A few minutes later, she appears in her window. Comes to close the curtains, eyes catching mine. I smile, she smiles back and my heart beats ten times faster. She closes the curtains and I flop back on to my bed.
Maybe this was a little more than just a crush, because holy shit. This girl makes me feel things I didn't know I could. She silences the anxious thoughts in my head, replacing them with images of her eyes and her smile. She's in my every thought and I've known for her a little more than a month. A month.
I'm so fucked.
