Tartarus drew a huge, ancient-Greek style broadsword, slashing it in a violent arc towards Percy. Just in time, he spiraled upwards, avoiding the strike.
Folding his wings, he dove forwards, aiming for the primordial's eye. Tartarus swiped a huge, clawed hand at him, grazing his left wing. Unused to flying, he was tipped off balance, spiraling towards the earth.
Tartarus caught him by his arm. "Helpless little godkiller." He muttered in his ear.
Percy snarled. When Nyx said it... it was a term of endearment, almost. But from this monster, it was naught but a cruel taunt.
He struggled, wildly swinging Bob's spear. The primordial laughed yet again.
"I'll be nice to you. A quick death, then eternity trapped here, in the pit. There are worse fates."
"NEVER!!!!!" Percy screamed, using his momentum to flip himself upwards and twist out of Tartarus' grasp.
"Oh, so you think you can escape me?"
He was toying with him, Percy knew it. If he so wanted, the primordial would have killed him in a second, yet he wanted to hurt him first. He could use that to his advantage.
"Too slow to catch me?" He taunted as Tartarus swung his sword, missing Percy and instead forming a new ravine in the ground.
He leaped back into the air again, narrowly avoiding a swipe from Tartarus' clawed hand, landing on the earth.
He thrust his hands forwards, sending a wave made of a mish-mash of underworld water. Tartarus stumbled backwards slightly, but otherwise seemed unaffected.
He watched the water from the ravine trickle pit in streams like veins of blood right under the skin of Tartarus.
Blood.
The rivers were Tartarus' blood.
Just as he leapt over another slash of the primordial's huge sword, Percy threw out his powers, wrapping them around Tartarus' blood.
He pulled... and nothing happened.
Did I trick you?
Percy wrapped his power around the rivers in Tartarus' body, channeling it into the water. As he grasped it and yanked as hard as he could, he felt his energy slowly drain from his body. Tartarus screamed and fell the his knees.
Percy pushed again, forcing his very life force into it. The world flashed before his eyes as he tightened his hold.
"I'm sorry Annabeth. I couldn't make it back." He whispered, tears flowing down his face.
He yanked at Tartarus' blood, pushing his energy into his move.
Percy have a gasp as he tumbled down to the ground, his wings dissolving as he fell, the golden dust of Bob's remains slowly trickling around him.
"I love you wise girl."
