'Why are we still here? Where's that bitch?!' I heard Kai shout and I opened my eyes slowly, still holding onto the ascendant. I looked around me. What had Jessica done? 'She left us' Kai said stating the obvious. 'Hang on a minute' I began. 'She went back with Damon and she left us here with the ascendant and every mean to get back...' Kai saw what I was getting at and we both looked at each other in suspicion. 'She's got to have some ulterior motive' Kai spoke what we were both thinking. I nodded slowly and thought hard about what that was. What if she wasn't back. I'm pretty sure she was. Maybe she's just teaching us a lesson. And I was stuck with Kai until the eclipse tonight... 'Hey.' I said grabbing Kai's attention. I held out my hand for him to take it. He looked at me confused. I rolled my eyes and said 'check if I still have my magic' he ignored my hand and grabbed my shoulders, closing his eyes. I stood there looking at him. He breathed in and dropped his arms. He looked at me with worry in his eyes. 'Kai?' I questioned, anxious for an answer. 'Do I still have magic?!' I said viciously. He still just stood there 'Kai!' I spat out. His face no longer held worry and he broke into a smile and started laughing. What. 'Of course you still have your magic' he continued to laugh. 'But I got you for a second didn't I?'
'Kai that's not funny!' I said slapping his shoulder. I took two steps away from him and he looked at me in a come-on-you-have-to-admit-it's-funny way. I couldn't help but let out a small giggle. 'Well we have some time to kill, let's go get some drinks' Kai said before leading me into the Salvatore's. We were both in an okay mood knowing that we would be getting out tonight.
