I don't believe
in heaven
or a hell.
No higher power.
Yeet today someone asked me
If I had ever tired,
To pray to whoever is listening.
They told me I should,
Even if I didn't believe.
So there I was,
Praying that I would never get hurt again,
That my candle never gets blown out by a weak
wind,
That I gain the willpower to stand strong against
whatever lurks in the dark,
That I would not open up too quickly,
That I would not push anyone away again.
I prayed for the Moon to speak,
I prayed for the Sun to whisper,
I prayed for the earth beneath my feet to fight
back,
But most of all
I prayed for a heaven
I prayed for a hell
I prayed for a higher power
I prayed for someone to listen.

PoetryI take requests and I am getting back into writing books. I'm starting this one cause I love reaching out to others who are dealing with the same problems. Leave a life and continue to read my book
