Chapter two

I'm going back to school.
I was hoping that today would be better than yesterday.
"Mom, I'm leaving."
"Okay, don't forget the gimbap."

Later, I arrived at school, sat on my chair, and started studying, but I couldn't focus because I didn't get enough sleep.
So I decided to take a nap since there was still 15 minutes before class started.

Junghwan, Doyoung, and I entered school together.
I saw Cindy taking a nap, and she looked really cute.

"Junghwan, please don't wake her up. She told me she had work, so she might be tired. Just give her some time to rest."

"Do I look like I care? I can do whatever I want to anyone here." Junghwan replied.

"Hey, wake up. School isn't a place to sleep."
Junghwan really didn't care what Doyoung and I told him.
Then, Cindy woke up. I sat down on my seat and soon our class advisor entered the room.
She said she had an announcement.

"Everyone, next week our school will have a prom. You get to choose your partner for the prom."
I immediately went to Cindy and asked her to be my partner.

"No, she can't be your partner. I want her."
Junghwan said.

"She doesn't even know you. Why would she want to be your partner?"

"Can both of you stop this nonsense? I'm not coming to the prom. Besides, I don't have the money for a gown, and I have more important things to do than that." Cindy said.

"Junghwan, can you be my partner for the prom?" Sohee asked Junghwan.

"No, I'll go alone." He answered.
I know Junghwan. He'd rather go alone than have Sohee as his partner.

"Jihye, will you be my partner for the upcoming prom?"

"Yes, sure. I'd love that." Jihye said.

"Jihye, I want you to be my partner." Jihoon said to Jihye.

"Jihoon, Jihye is already mine."

"I'm sorry, Jihoon. Doyoung is already my partner."

"Jihoon, let's be partners." Sohee asked Jihoon.

"Fine." Jihoon said to Sohee, annoyed.

FAST FORWARD

"Hey! Jeongwoo, did Cindy agree to be your partner?"
Doyoung asked.

"She said she won't join the prom."
"Then what's your plan?"
"I'll go to her house later."
"So you already know where she lives?"

Yesterday...

"Doyoung, you said you wanted to play video games, right?"

"Yeah, my mom and dad aren't home, and it's boring there."

"Just wait for me at my house. I just have to go somewhere."

Present...

"So you followed Cindy?"
Doyoung asked me.
"Yes." I simply answered.

"Hey! Jeongwoo, Doyoung."
Cindy sat beside me.
"Wanna eat gimbap? My mom made it. She said to give it to my friends."

"This looks good." I said.

"Doyoung, is that Jihye?"

"Yeah, that's Jihye."

"Now I know why you really like her. She's so pretty."
