Junghwan and I had been hanging out in the park for a while now, and we had grown closer over the past few weeks. He was there for me whenever I needed someone to rely on. He still could be rude and sarcastic sometimes, but he was a good friend nonetheless.

My phone rang, and I saw that it was Jihye calling.

"Jihye is calling," I said.
"Hello? Jihye, why did you call?" I asked, hearing sobs on the other end.
"Jihye? Are you crying? What happened?" I asked, worried.
"Doyoung is in the hospital now. He got hit by a car," Jihye said.
"What?" My voice got louder.
"What happened?" Junghwan asked, his voice tinged with concern.
"Doyoung got hit by a car!" I said.
"What? Let's go to the hospital," Junghwan said.
"Jihye, what hospital are you at?" I asked.
"At Samsung Medical Center," she said.
"Okay, we'll be there soon," I said, hanging up the phone.
"Where are they?" Junghwan asked, his worry for Doyoung evident.
"She said they're at Samsung Medical Center," I replied.
"Let's hurry up," he said, and we got into his car.

...

As we entered the hospital, I was struggling to keep up with Junghwan. He was moving so fast.
We reached the room, and I was catching my breath, thankful that I hadn’t fainted.

"Jihye! Where's Doyoung?" Junghwan asked.

SEJI

"Please don't leave me, Yoshi," I said.
"Damnit, just stop. I don't like you at all."
"After everything we did together, you'll just leave me like that? I even gave myself to you."
"So what? You're the one who got stupid and gave yourself to me. You let me do what I wanted."
"And stop calling me back. I'll never go back to you. I want someone else."
"Who is it? You're just using those girls!"
"Yeah, I was, and fucking you was fun. Thanks for that. I really enjoyed it."
"Then if you really don't want to come back to me, fine. You were just a mistake in my life. Just wait for your karma, Yoshi."

After that, I left him.

I was really stupid for giving him everything. He's a jerk. I thought he loved me, but he didn't.
I just sat in my room, thinking about how stupid I had been.
I was blinded by my love for him.
For him, it wasn't love; it was just lust.

...

THIRD PERSON

A week later, Doyoung woke up.
"Doyoung!" Junghwan exclaimed.
"Junghwan, why am I here?" He asked Junghwan.

Jihye also woke up and ran to Doyoung.
"Doyoung, are you okay? Do you still feel any pain? Do I need to call the doctor?" You could see how happy Jihye was that Doyoung was awake.
"Who are you?" Doyoung asked Jihye, making her freeze.
"What do you mean, Doyoung? It's me, Jihye," she said.
"I'm sorry, but I don’t know you," Doyoung said. Jihye’s eyes welled up.

"Hey, Doyoung, that's not a good joke," Junghwan said.
"Huh? I'm not joking. Who is she? I don't know her," Doyoung said.

Jihye ran out of the room and began to cry.
"Jihye? What happened?" Cindy asked as she arrived at the hospital and saw Jihye.
"Doyoung just woke up," Jihye said.
"That's great news, but why are you crying?"
"Doyoung doesn't recognize me. He forgot me," Jihye said, her voice breaking.
