"You're leaving me too?" Cindy said.
"It's not like that. I don't want to lose you. Please don't do it to yourself again," Jeongwoo said.
"I don't want to lose you either," Cindy replied.

Everyone remained silent for a moment.
"Jeongwoo, let's talk," Junghwan said, and Jihoon and Doyoung followed them.
"Now, tell her!" Junghwan said angrily, while Jeongwoo seemed unable to speak.
"Junghwan, are you crazy? She just almost committed suicide, and now you want him to tell her what's happening? What if she does it again? Do you want her to die?" Doyoung said, also angry.
"It's better if she knows what's happening around her, and at least she wouldn't be blind to everything," Jihoon said calmly.

"It's not that easy as you think! All of you! You weren't in my place, so you can say that easily!" Jeongwoo said angrily.
"I've been in this kind of situation before, and I know how it feels to be left behind! Especially by your parents," Jihoon said.

"So, you think I don't know how it feels like? I know how it feels! My mom and sister left me with my evil father! At least all of you don't have manipulative parents like I have," Jeongwoo retorted.

"Just please let me prepare her mind for the possibilities that can happen. Let me make the most of the time I have to make her happy, to make memories with her," Jeongwoo sobbed, and left. Junghwan also left, leaving Jihoon and Doyoung alone together.
"Doyoung," Jihoon said.
"What?" Doyoung replied.
"I know that you like Jihye, and she likes you too. Please don't hurt her feelings and always protect her," Jihoon said.

"Why are you telling me this?" Doyoung asked.
"I've always liked Jihye before, but I'm letting her go to choose you, and I think I'm liking Sohee," Jihoon said, making Doyoung look shocked.
"You like her? What did you see to like her?" Doyoung laughed.
"Another tease, and Junghwan and you will be dead," Jihoon said, frowning.
"Oh, easy, sir. You're already blushing," Doyoung said, still laughing.
"But thank you for trusting me with Jihye," Doyoung added.

JEONGWOO

I went back to where Cindy was and saw her and Jihye hugging. I asked Cindy to take a walk so we could talk.
"Cindy, wanna take a walk?" I said, and she nodded.

We were talking as we walked.
"Cindy, just don't do it again, okay?" I said.
"I didn't mean to do that. It's just like there's something in my mind saying it would make my problem go away, but I guess it wouldn't help; instead, it would be a burden for all of you," Cindy said.
"I'll ask you again. What if I'm gone? What will you do?" I asked.
"Why do you keep asking those things?" she asked worriedly.
"We don't know what will happen anytime. If anything happens, just don't do it again. It would break my heart if something happened to you again," I said.
"Then, if that's the case, I'll just go and accept what's happening," she said. It was a relief.
"Have you heard about the Lee group of companies?" Cindy suddenly asked. It seemed familiar.
"I think I heard about that before. Why did you ask?" I said.
"I wasn't poor before. My dad owned that company back then," she said, and I was a bit surprised by that. I remembered that my dad was friends with Michael Lee.
"Is Michael Lee your dad?" I asked her.
"Yeah."
"What happened to him?" I asked out of curiosity.
"His company went bankrupt after he died," she said.
"He died? Why did he die?" I asked.

"He was also shot by a bullet in the head, and I was right there, covered in his blood. I can still hear the glass shattering and the gunshot. I even have a scar on my forehead from the glass that hit my face, which is why I always wear my side bangs," she said, a sad smile on her lips.

"Actually, I have a sister," I said.
"Oh, really?" She smiled.
"Who is she? Can I meet her?" she asked.
"But she and my mom weren't with me at all," I said.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I thought I could meet her. But what happened to them?" she asked.
"They got into a car accident. They didn't make it to the hospital," I said.

....

We both started talking about our childhoods.
"Are you tired?" I asked her.
"Yeah, I'm a bit tired," she replied.
We sat on a bench, not too far from the funeral.
"Where are your relatives?"
"I don't know. I don't even know if I still have any relatives," she said.

We sat there for a few minutes.
"I think we should go. It isn't safe for you to be outside. Maybe the person who shot your mom is still around," I said.
"Okay," she replied.

It was already midnight, and we got back to the funeral.  Fortunately, there was room for us to sleep.
Cindy got there and went to sleep. She must be so tired from everything that happened today.
If only I could not go there.

Sometimes I wonder if my father is Junghwan's father. Junghwan doesn't seem to appreciate what his father is doing for him.
They said that Jihoon had already left.
And Doyoung and Jihye were also about to leave.
They left the three of us: Junghwan, Cindy, and me.
