"A place not of moments, but moment. A waiting place."

AFTER THE TALK BETWEEN MOTHER AND SON, Alex went upstairs while his mother just sat there lost in her own thoughts. Sydney didn't honestly know how to feel at this moment. Shaking her thoughts away she went to check on Damon. He was healing slowly but he looked pretty healthy but he had a few wounds that would take awhile to heal.
Meanwhile, Klaus was standing in the hallway as directed by his older brother for who knows why. He was beyond annoyed that his brother ordered him to stand here and wait for him. After being angry and annoyed for a solid minute he decided to discard his brother's demand and take a look around.
The two walls that made up the hallway had photos hanging neatly on them in a decorative manner. That included what he thought were her kids but then he saw a teenager and didn't believe that he was her child. She was far too young to have a teenage son, the more he looked at the pictures the more he noticed how they all looked alike. And it wasn't like mother-child looking alike, it was almost like they were siblings or closely related.
As Klaus went down the hallway and saw more pictures of the kids, he started to think. All the kids were different ages and the girls looked about five or six and he started to do some math and well unless she was a teenage mother, they weren't her biological kids and if they were then who was their father? Klaus had so many questions but he had no right to ask them, he was just a stranger, her husband's brother. He hated that, he wanted to be more but he couldn't do anything due to Elijah.
Elijah went into the room where all the kids were. The second he came into the room they stopped talking to each other and stared at him with wide expecting eyes.
"How's Damon?" Stefan asks him, breaking the silence, looking at the original searching for answers.
"Damon is unfortunately alright, he will not sustain any permanent damage much to my dismay," Elijah answers him bitterly, feeling annoyed that the baby vampire had lived. Stefan lets out a breath of relief, he was worried that he wouldn't see his brother after today. He was glad that his brother was alive, although he was angry at him.
Elias runs over towards his father with his little legs and hugs Elijah's legs and looks up at him. "Daddy!" He exclaims, his chocolate brown eyes dancing with sunshine. Elijah picks up his son and walks further into the room not noticing Ashley leaving as he was bombarded with question after question from not only his children but the strays as well.
