Elena's Pov

[London Business Event ]

I and Ayaan made our way towards the entrance of the event and joined the flow of guests entering the venue, greeted by the hum of excitement and the clinking of glasses.

We directly went to our assigned seats and smoothing down my dress I took my seat with Ayaan beside me .

After a while , the host announced the name of the Best Entrepreneur Male ....and it was AYAAN SEHGAL!! WOAH !! ....

I clapped loud for him while he went towards the stage giving the brightest smile he has . Ayaan received the award , gave a short speech and like that with some more awards and speeches the event ended .

After we reached hotel the first thing Ayaan did is that he dialed Kiara's number .

After a few rings, Kiara, appears on the screen and her face lighting up with joy the moment she noticed Ayaan holding the award to the camera .

" Ayaan! Oh my god , YOU DID IT ! I knew you would! I told you !! " she exclaimed

" Babe , you should have seen him up there ! Our boy rocked !! And We missed you here !!! " I chimmed

" Yup ...I wish you were here with us to celebrate " Ayaan smiled sadly ...well its expected as this is a big thing for Ayaan , and ever since our friendship three of us have been with eachother at our every achievements , let it even be a silly one . But this time, unfortunately Kiara isn't here with us for our mandatory group hug . So the celebration is feeling incomplete at this point.

" Oye ... don't be mood spoiler Ayaan ...Let's make a toast to ---come on Ayaan ! " I said raising my glass at the camera and " waitttt---" Kiara said going out of the camera and coming again with a glass in her hands which is filled with water probably and we chuckled at her .

" To friendship, to success, and to many more achievements together." Ayaan complete raising his glass .

"Cheers ! " I exclaimed and we clicked our glasses at the camera .
This how we are happy and crazy together !!

[After Party of the Event ]

I entered the after party of the event with Ayaan and he got busy with some other entrepreneurs while I was also meeting with some renowned businessmen and women.

I was greeting with them when suddenly one of them, Mr. Andrew caught my attention saying , " Ms. Mehra .... I would really like introduce you to someone---have you met Mr Awasthi yet ? " I diverted my gaze towards him while finding the man beside him my breath was caught in my throat.

Emotions swirl within me ---shock, disbelief, and a flicker of something I thought I had buried long ago.
My pulse quickened and my palms became cold . But I didn't let that notice anyone , maintaining my composure. Keep it together, Elena. You've got this I said to myself.

" Good evening Ms. Mehra -- " he spoke and his voice sends a shiver through my spine .

" Good evening Mr . Awasthi " I offered a polite nod, keeping my tone neutral while forwarding my hand for a handshake and he accepts it locking his eyes mine and the contact send a jolt of familiarity through my veins, a reminder of the what we once shared .
