Chap. 10

One thing you are grateful for? today at this moment ?

- Kiara's Pov -

Last day of the 3rd week in the camp and I sat inside my tent after a long day of hustle bustle in the camp .

Suddenly something caught my eyes on the table in front of me , it's some colourful sticky notes which made me remember something about last weekend.
That day when Sahil asked me about having a cup of coffee with him somewhere....I agreed with to go as I was at home with nothing special to do ...and I think I barely ever turn down coffee ! So yeah!

We made our way out the apartment and Sahil told me we'll be going to a cafe which is in a walking distance from our building so we will be walking there .

As Sahil and I stroll side by side along the footpath, the warmth of the afternoon sun envelops us.

Walking beside me he kept telling me how he would go to the shop to have their hot chocolate which is the best drink he have ever tried and would be telling me silliest jokes and grinning at himself. Cute !

While I stole a glances at him , unknowingly admiring the way the sunlight plays off his hair and how he had this signature bright and genuine smile all the way, which would bring out his dimples .

I realised he has this personality of the warm sun rays making their way through the dark clouds which can bright up anyone's day , including mine only with their presence!

As we reached the café, I couldn't help but admire its rustic charm of the café and the scent of freshly baked pastries that wafted out from the open door. Stepping inside, I was greeted by the cozy ambiance, with soft lighting and comfortable seating arrangement.
I glanced around, taking in the warm the surroundings and whispered, " This is beautiful! "

" I know right ! " Sahil grinned looking at me and I smiled.

We found a table by the window and settled ther facing eachother. Sitting there , through the window I noticed the flower shop attached at the one corner of the café and unknowingly a smile came on my lips , I could guess my entire have lit up with wonder and my eyes sparkled , looking at those fresh colourful followers, specially those Tulips!

I remembered how in my teenage years I used to imagine that I'd be owning a place like this where people could enjoy a perfect cup of coffee and be surrounded by beautiful, fresh flowers.

Unfortunately growing up a lot of our imaginations and wishes remain overshadowed by the realities of adult life . Sigh *

I kept roaming my eyes around the cafe, I found a book corner which has shelves filled with books where some people stood maybe looking for a good book .

Just beside that I noticed a small corner , adorned with colourful sticky notes stuck with a board .

I tried to understand what was that but failed because it was a little far from our table.

So I turned my eyes towards Sahil who was already looking at me with a small smile , which made me halt for a second but then I began to ask , " Sahil what is tha--"
