[ London ]

I stood outside the venue, frustration and regret burning inside me. Elena's words still ring in my ears and I run a hand through my hair, trying to steady myself.

Abruptly my phone started buzzing in my pocket and I took it out only to find a call coming from my house landline in India .... strange! At this hour ...so I picked up the call...

Hello ...

S-sir .... your d-dadi she ... It was seema , dadi's care taker , her voice stammered while speaking and listening about dadi I became restless

Dadi what Seema ? STOP STAMMERING ! ...

"Sir ....s-she fell in the- bathroom and -" her words hit me like a punch to my gut and my heart started pounding as I processed what she said .

SHE WHAT !! I shouted on the call while my breathing raced

" Sir ...we took her to the hospital instantly... she's fine .. don't wo- "

" The hell with your fine !!! I swear if anything happens to her -- " I took a moment controlling myself and cut the call saying , " I'm coming "

After hanging up , I called my PA to book the tickets of India immediately and called one other person whom I knew I can rely on at this time, Sahil .

I called him telling him about dadi's and he reassured me to check upon her and told me not to panic but how can I not ! She's the only family I've left !

I got the tickets of returning India that night and reached airport after packing my stuff .

Settling into my seat, I closed my eyes, exhaustion washing over me. The plane takes off, and I leaned back, thoughts of Dadi and Elena ran through my mind.

[St.Johns Boarding School - Mumbai]

[ Age : 18 years old ]

Elena storms out of her classroom, her expression a mix of annoyance with a detention slip in her hand.
She walked through the hallway but stopped when she spotted Kiara and Ayaan standing there as they are in the different section .

" What happened ? " Kiara asked noticing Elena's facial expressions

Without saying anything she showed them that slip in her hand ...

" Now what did you've done again ? " Ayaan asked sighing while Kiara looked at her wide eyed.

" Hey I didn't have done anything... I just said that she shouldn't hype herself that much and our ' honourable ' ma'am couldn't digest that ! You know she has some serious issues with her digestive system ! " She spoke dramatically , actually sarcastically which made Kiara look at Elena with a open mouth while Ayaan scoffed.
