Percy couldn't help but be very, very aware of Klaus' stare on her skin. She couldn't help but look back at him every so often only to meet his gaze and withhold a shiver of delight. He wasn't the only one watching her; many people couldn't help but stop and gawk. Among them was Caroline and a glowering Ellie.

She twirled Rebekah around causing the blonde to giggle.  "You're a better dancer than the many partners I've had."

"Thanks, baby," Percy cooed.

She watched Rebekah look around with a vindictive little smile.

"What's got you so vicious?"

Rebekah smirked, "You see the girl," she nodded over Percy's shoulder as they spun in a slow circle.

"You mean Caroline?" Percy raised her brows and Rebekah nodded with a viscous little smirk.

She leaned forward to whisper in Percy's ear, "She looks phenomenal of course," she hummed, "My brother gave her everything she's wearing, and yet..."

Percy frowned as they spun around again, her gaze flicked to Klaus who sent a charming smile her way before settling on Caroline who was frowning at her.

"And yet?" She prompted.

Rebekah grinned brightly, poison dripping from every tooth on display. "And yet not once has my brother's eyes left you," she cocked her head. "Oh, I bet it's eating the little girl up inside."

"Why?"

Rebekah raised her brows, "Why hasn't he stopped looking at you?"

Percy nodded.

"Darling, why would he look anywhere else?" Rebekah retorted. "You're the diamond of this ball. He'd be stupid to look elsewhere," she whispered, shooting her brother a pointed look and all he did was grin...as if he could hear them from across the room...

Percy hummed, as she watched Caroline walk away. "I don't think they want me here," she told Rebekah, pointedly changing the subject. "She asked me—aggressively—might I add if I was coming, I genuinely didn't want to at first."

"What changed your mind?"

"The dress," Percy admitted, "and my very pregnant, terrifying mother."

Rebekah gasped in delight, blue eyes lighting up, "Oh that's marvellous, how far along is she?"
