Chapter 80

You slowly make your way to the side of the church. Your legs feel numb, and your fingers burn. You push open the doors and stumble into the hall. You trip in falling from the numbness in your legs. You push yourself back up and sniffle as blood begins to drip out your nose again. You stumble down the hall and stop when you see movement in the corner of your eyes. Your head slowly turns to the movement. It was Chifuyu tied up to a pillar. Your eyes widen as you slowly make your way to him.

"Chifuyu..." You shakily say. His eyes widen when he sees you. You drop down and try your hardest to untie him, but you can't even feel what you're doing. You grab at the cloth tied around his mouth and pull it off. 

"Yuki... What happened to you?"

"Are you okay?" You quietly ask as you try to untie him.

"What happened to you? Why are you blue and bleeding..."

"I'm okay." You blankly say. Chifuyu goes quiet. "Why isn't it untying... It won't come off." You sniffle.

"Just pull this." Chifuyu says holding up a part of the cloth. You grab it and pull it but it won't come undone.

"It's not working..." You mumble.

"Hold on." Chifuyu sticks his finger into the gap of the cloth and grabs your finger, pulling you to where you need to undo the cloth. His eyes widen when he feels how cold your fingers are. "You're freezing cold."

"I think... I've got it." You softly say as you pull the cloth off him. Chifuyu stands up as he finishes untying himself. You slowly stand up too. He turns to you and looks at you up and down. You furrow your eyebrows. He places his hand on your face and then relaxes his eyes.

"You should go home..."

"No." You say in a stern voice. "I need to save Hakkai..."

"You're freezing cold... you can't do anything-"

"I promised I would do it... I did all of this... I'm not going to give up now." You say pushing Chifuyu and walking further into the church.

"Yuki..." Chifuyu softly says as he tries to stop you. You stop when someone walks in front of you. Your eyes widen when you notice who it is. 

"Well well... look who came to pay a visit-" He chuckles. "I didn't think you were Christian... V~" He soothes leaning towards you. You furrow your eyebrows as his cat like eyes pierce into yours.

"Kokonoi..." You slowly say.

"You remember my name." He smiles.

"Get out our way..." Chifuyu grumbles.

"Why? Oh- don't tell me... You're going to get in the middle of a family fight? Is that it?" He says smiling at Chifuyu. Chifuyu furrows his eyebrows and clenches his fists.

"You're going to let Taiju get killed?" You ask. Kokonoi's smile disappears, and he tilts his head a bit.

"What makes you think he will be able to hurt Taiju?" Kokonoi asks, a smile reappearing on his face. You frown a bit and furrow your eyebrows. Kokonoi slowly walks closer to you. "Why don't we play a little bit... Yuki~" He soothes.

"No thanks..." You mumble. Chifuyu jumps in and kicks Kokonoi. Kokonoi blocks Chifuyu's kick. He then twists his body and knocks Chifuyu off his feet. You try to help Chifuyu but someone grabs you from behind. He locks his arms around you. Your eyes widen when you realize you can't fight your way out. 

"What should we do with them... Koko?" The guy says as his grip around you tightens. You slowly move your head to look at him. He has a pink mark on his head. You grunt as you try to pry yourself away from him. His grip tightens even more making it hard to breath.

"Let go of me." You fume. 

"Shut up, bitch." Inui says into your ear. Your face scrunches up as you slide your foot forward and kick your foot up. You quickly move it backwards and smash the back of your boot into Inui's balls. He lets go of you and drops down in pain. You twist your body and jab your foot into Kokonoi's chest causing him to fall back. You stumble to the ground and quickly get up, trying to run into the area Hakkai and Taiju was in. You fall flat on your face when someone grabs you by the ankle. 

Your eyes widen and you quickly look behind you to see Inui holding really hard onto your ankle. He has a painful look on his face. You hear movement beside you causing you to quickly look in that direction. When you look up you see Kokonoi preparing to hit you with a pipe. Your heart drops when you realize you're fucked. 

"AHHH!" A shout from the distance gets closer as Chifuyu jumps at Kokonoi, kicking him into the wall. You kick at Inui causing him to flinch and let go of you. You get up and quickly rush out the room. You push the doors open and stumble in the room to see Taiju. His eyes slowly move towards you.

Your eyes widen when you see Taiju holding onto Hakkai by the throat.

"Hakkai..." You slowly say in shock.

"Yu-ki-" Hakkai struggles to say. You stand up and move closer towards them.

"Taiju! Let go of Hakkai!"

"Mind your business-" Taiju replies in an irritated tone.

"What you're doing isn't right!" You shout. He laughs and glares at you. 

"Leave or I'll kill you." He bluntly says.

"Yu-ki- go-" Hakkai struggles to say.

"Hakkai..."

Taiju looks at Hakkai and stares him dead in the face. "This is a family manner- You aren't family... so- leave... or I'll take back what I promised." He says to you.

You walk closer. Taiju's eyes dart back to you.

"You don't listen... I said go-"

He freezes. Your eyes move to the movement beside him. Yuzuha leans more into him, a blade going into his side. Her grip on the blade tightens and she begins to twist it. Taiju grunts and let's go of Hakkai. Hakkai drops to the ground, gasping for air. 

Taiju elbows Yuzuha in the face causing her to let go and stumble back. He pulls his arm away again and then swings at her, full force, causing her to fly back. She rolls back and falls into the seating in the room. Taiju stumbles to the side a bit and grabs onto the knife in his side. He grips it and pulls it out of his side. Blood grows around the wound, soaking his tank top with blood in that area. 

"Little bitch- you screwed up this time..." Taiju grunts, glaring at Yuzuha. "I'm going to kill you." He says, throwing the knife down hard onto the ground and approaching her. 

"NO- TAIJU-" You shout, running towards Yuzuha and jumping in front of Taiju. He stops walking and stares at you. You pant, holding your hands out.

"Don't... she's your sister."

"Get out the way."

"Yuki... you should go-" Yuzuha says slowly standing up and panting a bit. "This is a fight between me and my big brother-"

"No- this isn't normal- You shouldn't be trying to kill him..." You say, looking back at her.

"I have no choice." She sadly says. Your eyes soften when you see the desperation in her face.

"Get- THE FUCK OUT THE WAY!" Taiju shouts, grabbing you by the collar of your jacket and throwing you in Hakkai's direction. You slide and roll, smashing into Hakkai. You slowly sit up, holding onto your head after hitting it against Hakkai's knee. Your eyes meet with Hakkai's when you sit up. He his eyes widen.

"Yuki..." You stare at him with wide eyes. "Did you- why did you tell Yuzuha... that I was going to do this?"

"Huh?" You look at him confused. "I didn't-"

"I only told you about this... you and Chifuyu..." He sadly says. "He-" He pushes you off him and struggles to stand up. "He's going to kill her." He sniffles. Your eyes quickly move towards Yuzuha who is slowly walking backwards as Taiju slowly walks to her. Tears falling down Taiju's eyes.

"You made me do this..." He says grabbing at Yuzuha's shirt collar.
