"What are you doing here?" You ask in a confused tone.
"I can ask you the same thing..." He replies. You sigh and look down.
"I'm here for Baji." You answer.
"Same." He responds. You furrow your eyebrows and look towards the door. "Everyone has been looking for you, where have you been?" He asks as he gets closer to you. You take a deep breath and look towards his direction.
"Tell Baji that I was here... I have to go-" You say quickly turning around.
"Hey? Why are you leaving so suddenly?" He shouts out to you. You continue, completely ignoring him.
When you make it back to your grandparents house. You flop down on the bed, sinking down and burying yourself under the covers. You softly groan in pain as you finally begin to feel the aching pain from being sick.
For the next few days, it has been slow and quiet. You have taken a lot of bathes and been sleeping a lot. You cold is starting to go away. As for your grandfather, he's still in a coma in the hospital. You try and be there for your grandmother, but it hasn't been easy. She has been very quiet and out of it for the past few days. You try your best but there hasn't been much you have been able to do.
Today is New Years Eve... you don't have any plans for the day, and you haven't thought of what you want to do. You sit in front of the table staring down at your plate full of food.
"Yuki... are you going to eat?" Hikari asks. You slowly look up at her with tired eyes.
"I'm sorry... I'm not hungry." You softly say, standing up.
"Yuki- you haven't been eating... Please, I'm worried. You're already so skinny and pale... please eat."
"I'm not hungry." You reply. You turn away and walk back towards the bedroom. You slowly lay down on the bed, nuzzling your face into the pillow. Your eyes slowly begin to close when your phone vibrates. You slowly open your eyes to a call from Baji. Your eyes widen a bit to it. You slowly sit up and grab the phone preparing to answer it.
"He rarely ever calls me..." You mumble to yourself.
"YUKI!" Hikari shouts as she rushes into your room. Her eyes are wide and she's quickly putting on her jacket. "He's awake." She pants. Your eyes widen and you drop your phone down on the bed, quickly pushing yourself up.
You and Hikari quickly make your way through the hospital and towards his room. You both stop at the door. Hikari takes a deep breath and pushes the door open. Your grandma is sitting beside your grandpa in a chair. His eyes are slightly open and he's laying stiffly in the bed. Your eyes begin to water at how lifeless he looks.
After talking to your grandma and grandpa for a bit. You and Hikari slowly make your way out the hospital. In the car on the way back to the house you sit quietly in the backseat as you stare out at the window."I'm scared..." Hikari softly says. Your eyes wander towards her, her eyes looking tired in the mirror.
"What do you mean?"
"After your mother died... things got really depressing and gloomy... I sometimes feel like Hanami, your mom was my dads favorite... He loved her so much and spoiled her the most... He really loved your mom..." She takes a deep breath. "I feel like her death took a toll on him... and he is now sick because of it... mom... your grandmother mentioned she has regrets."
"Regrets? What regrets?" You ask.
"I have no idea..." Hikari quietly says.
"She never told me... she only said she regrets her decisions."
