Chapter 6

(Brittany's POV)

Well I had learnt that Damien was apparently the bad-boy, the head honcho, the king as he would like to put it I'm sure, of the school and that Haden a him hate each other. So I decided not to tell them about Damien and made the twins promise not to.

As we walked over to the guys I was trying to think of a good excuse to use if they asked what had happened. By the time we got there I still had nothing. Damn!

"So wat cha been up to?!" Riley said as if a gossip girl.

"Well we taught Britt how to fly." Janet stated proudly.

"Did you get hurt?! I mean, um, how did it go?" Haden blurted out the first part and tried to cover that up with the second part. Why is he so protective of me it's kinda creepy at times.

"It went well! I can officially fly!" I said triumphantly.

"Well let's see it then!" Riley urged waving me to stand up.

I hesitated, stood but did no more. "Did I forget to mention that I wasn't a good flyer and could only fly in the first place because Dezzy helped me?!" I said pointing at Destiny as I said her name and trying to avoid flying.

Of cause I loved the feeling of flying but I didn't want to fall and die. Ok that's probably an exaggeration but still.

"Aw! If your sceared of falling I promise to catch you!" Haden pouted teasingly as the rest giggled and chuckled.

"Fine!" I caved.

I closed my eyes and imagined myself with my wings appearing. I opened my eyes to find the rest of them standing now with their wings on their backs too.

Haden smiled at me and held out his hand for me to take. I did so and he started to flap his wings and rise into the air. I hesitated but followed as my arm was having to stretch to keep hold of his hand.

Destiny started to float upwards with her wind element and was now higher than me so I flapped a little harder to try and keep up with her.

We were all now in the air even Gunther riding on Shadow. We all headed over to the forest where I saw a tree that was alight! I let go of Haden's hand a sped of toward the blazing tree.

I saw a familiar figure on the ground and a fox too. I swooped down a bit (so much for not being able to fly well) and it turned out to be Damien and his animal mate. He had his enflamed hands held up to the tree and had a look of concentration on his gorges face. PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER GIRL!!

I called over Dezzy with our mind link and she bolted over.

'Ok here's the plan. We're going to piss Damien off by putting out his flame. Ok?' she nodded with a devilish look in her eye.

I flew over to the opposite side of the tree to Damien within a flash (yep I'm not just ok I'm awesome at this! I guess Dezzy helps a bit though.) and turned my back to the tree and started to beet my wings, at a paced rate the was really heavy and when Dez came over and used the winds to help we had the fire out in a matter of seconds (ok about 2 minutes but who's counting?!).

Janet, Lauren, Riley and Haden flew over to us with huge smiles.

"Come on quick before Damien sets out wings on fire!" Riley whisper shouted and we all sped of back to the oval and landed on our feet.

"I thought you weren't a good flyer?" Haden teased and questioned at the same time.

"Yeah I'm not a good flyer I'm an awesome flyer!" I said but in a nanananana kinda way.

"Yeah you sure are!" Riley said holding his hand up for a hi-five so I gave him one really hard, that was more like a slap than anything.

He mouthed 'ouch' while holding his wrist and shaking his hand about.

"Haha!"

"So it looks like you might get your powers sooner than you think! Usually it takes a couple of weeks to bond with your animal mate to cooperate like that and be able to put out a full on fire when you don't even have your element yet." Haden exclaimed and complemented.

"Really!? You really think so?!"

"Well I wouldn't of said it if I didn't now would I!?" he said in the duh tone.

"I guess. Yay can't wait!!" I said jumping up and down clapping my hands. So childish! :P

We played air tag for the rest of the afternoon and of cause no one was able to catch Dezzy and I. Hahaha!

The sun was starting to set now. It is a spectacular sight to and I just wanted to sit here and watch it until it fell completely. That plan was utterly ruined when Janet's tummy rumbled loudly in demand for food.

"What we skipped lunch, remember?!" she said in defense as we all stared at her holding in laughter.

So we headed off to the dinning hall leaving the beautiful sunset behind. :(

After dinner Haden and Riley walked Janet, Lauren and I to our dorm room and said 'goodbye' and walked off to theirs.

After I had a shower and changed into my pj I collapsed on my bed and fell into a dreamless sleep alongside Destiny lightly snoring.

A/N: So sorry it's a bit short and that it took so long but I was really focusing on my other book Were-twins and I'd sorta lost the plot for this one but I've figured it out sorta now so it shouldn't take as long this time but it still will take a bit cause I'm still focusing on Were-twins.
