Chapter 9

TAW Chapter 9

(Haden's POV)

"School starts on Monday so we only have two days of freedom left so maybe we should stop playing call of duty and go to sleep." I suggested to Riley. Damien was already in bed and fast asleep.

"In other words you want to go to sleep so tomorrow comes faster and you can see Brittany. Am I right?!" Riley sighed with a smart ass expression on his face.

"No!" I retorted but we both knew it was true. I absolutely adore Brittany she's so beautiful with her long dark brown hair that sits so gracefully around her shoulders and her eyes, oh her gorges emerald eyes, the way they sparkle with happiness every time she smiles her wonderful smile.

I ended up falling asleep with images of Brittany dancing round in my head.

I woke up in the middle of the night as I heard someone opening a squeaky door.

I shot up out of bed and quickly looked around to see a figure jumping off the balcony. I looked around the room to see Riley in his bed but Damien's bed was empty.

Where does he think he's going at this time of night?! I jumped out of bed and off to the balcony following the figure.

'Kyle stay here I'll call you if I need you ok.'

'Ok.' he yawned.

At that I jumped out off the balcony and imagined my wings and flew off following Damien making sure to keep my distance and to the shadows.

On one of the balconies up ahead I saw yet another silhouette. As I got closer to the balcony I saw the figure to be non other than Brittany?!

I stopped a fair distance away and hid in the shadows and watched the situation.

Damien flew up to the balcony and landed next to Brittany giving her a hug before petting Destiny who was sitting beside Brittany's left foot wagging her tail with glee as he pet her.

I swear I'm gonna kill him!

He took her hand and they flew off. Not if I can help it they aren't going to be doing anything!

I sped off toward them and crash tackled Damien causing us to fall to the ground with Brittany's screams filling our ears.

Damien hit the ground with a thud as I landed on him before toppling to the ground next to the basted.

My head hit the ground making me scrunch my eyes in pain.

"Oh my god are you ok!?" I heard Britt exclaim.

"Damien? Damien wake up!" she pleaded. What she cares about Damien and not me?!

"What the hell do you think your doing!" she shouted in my direction.

I shot up into a sitting position opening my eyes. "I could ask you the same question!" I retorted.

"Gosh if you must know he's been training me all holidays every second night and now Destiny and I are a lot stronger and our bond is just about at it's peek. I didn't tell you cause the twins said you'd be mad and you proved them right!" she shouted at me.

"He's been with you the whole holidays?!" I shouted at her.

"Yes but that is no reason to freaking crush tackle him in mid flight you, dumb ass!" she shouted close to tears.

(Brittany's POV)

It hurt to yell at him but it hurt to see Damien hurt. I'm drawn between two guys both I like the same way but I don't know who to be with. They're both my friends and have both helped me just in different ways. Life is so hard!

I could see the pain on Haden's face too but right now Damien needed me more.

'Destiny come here please I need your help.' I called in my head to her.

Moments later she came prancing over from the forest.

"Can you lift up Damien so we can take him to his dorm please?" I asked Dezzy.

She nodded and a gust of wind came and swirled around Damien. He started to lift off the ground higher and higher. I flew up to him and stayed close so he would stay on corse. Haden just sat there on the grass staring at me longingly but then soon joined me and helped Damien stay on corse too.

We got back to the boys dorm with Riley sleeping happily mumbling something about zombies and death. He really needs to lay off the Zombie games.

Dezzy lay Damien on his bed and I kissed him forehead much like he did me the first night we trained. I turned around to see Haden standing there his hand scrunched up into tight fists.

I walked over to him and stood a couple inches away from him staring into his gorges green-aquamarine eyes. We stood like that for awhile just staring into each others eyes until he lent down a bit so our faces were amost touching. He lay his lips on mine and kissed me. I was in shock but even before I could recover from shock he pulled back and whispered in my ear.

"Please don't be mad at me." before walking away over to his bed his wings dematerializing as he walked.

Destiny nuzzled the back of my legs before pushing on them harder telling me to leave. So I walked out to the balcony but left the doors open for Zain to come home.

I flew back to my dorm and closed the doors behind Destiny dematerialized my wings and went to sleep with Destiny snuggled up next to me.

Gosh what a night!!

A/N: I'm so so so so sorry for it being almost a month since I uploaded this book!!! Please please please forgive me!! And sorry it's short but the next chap is going to have so action in it if you guys say yes to Brittany getting her powers next chap.

Ok so do you think this the book is moving along to fast or what? Do you think I should make her powers form in the next chapter? It's up to you guys cause I'm sure I could think of something if you disagree.
