Chapter 10

TAW Chapter 10

(Brittany's POV)

I woke up that morning with the sun shining in my eyes. I turned my head to look at the clock that sat on my bedside table. 7:50am?! Oh no we're going to be late and on the first day too!

I shot out of bed and ran straight for the cupboard and got out my uniform.

The school uniform was white with black rims around each piece of fabric, black under shirt with the collar showing, black high socks and shoes and a red shash/tie that went around my neck under the collar. The skirt went down to my mid thigh and the over top went past my waist a little. It was very stylish and easy to move around in.

(A/N: Before you ask, yes I got the uniform off Vampire knight but I absolutely adore the show and love the uniforms!!)

I ran into the bathroom and got changed, came back out and shouted at the twins to get up.

They both did practically the same thing I did; looked at the clock, shot out of bed the frantically ran around getting ready.

I brushed my hair and put on minimal makeup before running out the door. I ran out the door then straight back in because I'd forgotten Destiny.

She was still lying on my bed half asleep. As I got closer to her I could just slightly hear her whining softly.

'Destiny what's wrong?' I asked in her mind.

'I don't. Know.' she answered strained.

'I'll carry you I'm sure once you've have something to eat and drink you'll feel better. Come on.' I said picking her up and walking back out the door with Destiny this time.

I jogged ahead a bit to catch up with the twins then we all hurried down the dinning hall for breakfast.

We sat down at our usual table at the far end of the room off to one side with our breakfast which was French toast this morning.

"Your only just, on time." Riley commented with a smirk as we sat down.

I gave Destiny her plate of lamb but she didn't dig into it has she usually does but stared at it a bit before slowly starting to eat it.

'Destiny are you sure your ok?' I asked worried.

'Im just not feeling the same as I usually do.' I could hear she wasn't feeling right by the way she spoke.

A shove in the arm pulled me from my conversation with Dezzy.

I turned to Janet who was sitting next to me with playful daggers she nodded over to Riley.

"I said are you nervous about your first day of actual school here?" he asked impatiently most likely repeating himself.

"Oh yep can't wait!" I remarked sarcastically.

"Well we'll see what you think after your first day shall we?" Haden awarded back.

I was about to answer when Destiny started howling. It wasn't a normal howl but a howl that could make your heart skip a beat -and not in a good way- which I'm pretty sure what happened to me.

I immediately leapt off my seat and crouched down to her.

'Destiny what's wrong?!' I asked in a panic as I stroked her fur.

'I. Don't. Know.' she groaned in horrible pain.

"Shut that mutt up!!" I heard someone shout out across the hall.

I got up to me feet raised my hand without thinking and the boy was raised into the air clawing at something around his throat choking.

I dropped my hand as I rose into the air. The boy dropped inhaling huge lungfuls of air. I couldn't have been the one choking him could I?!

I rose into the everyone now staring at me the world went white as I blacked out the sound of Destiny's howling echoing in my head.

(Zeak's POV)

Joe one of my room mates and friend shouted at the new girl, "Shut that mutt up!!!". He was referring to her pets murderous howls.

At that moment I saw her stand, riser her hand toward Joe with a murderous look on her face. Wind started to twirl around us as Joe started the cough then rise into the air clawing at his throat.

Well now we all know she's a air user.

I surprised look took over her face as she lowered her and and started to rise into the air.

The howls from her pet got louder and the girls head fell back as she was now unconscious. A torrent of wind blew all of the windows open smashing most of them cause people to flee from the area screaming.

The wind circled the girl like a tornado hiding her from sight.

A burst of light blinded us all!

The wind came to a sudden stop. The girl was almost touching the ceiling before she started to fall.

I used the open windows to my advantage and summoned a smaller gust of wind in catching the girl before she came to any harm.

I walked over to where the girl now lay disbanding the Wind back outside.

I looked down at the girl and I swear something was odd about her as if I'd seen her before -probably just walking around the school grounds I bet- but right now something was different about her, wait wasn't her hair brown before? Well now it's pure white just like mine!

"Brittany?!" Haden shouted as he appeared next to her caressing her cheek.

I looked over to her pet who was extremely exhausted panting like crazy but no longer howling.

'Dylan Come help me please.' I asked politely to my wind wolf.

He soon came trotting over to me not fazed at all by the situation beforehand.

He used his wind abilities to lift the wolf and I mine to lift Brittany much to Haden's dislike. I told him it was best to keep her still invade she was injured and same with her pet who's name was Destiny I was told. Dylan and I took them both to the nurses office/ hospital room to get checked out.

A/N: So here you have it the next chapter of TAW! What do you think? Brittany has her powers! who's this new guy? Well.......... I'm not telling your just gonna have to find out! Hehehehe!!
