It was past seven in the evening, and now i'm entering my parent's mansion. when I was in the office, my mother suddenly called me and said that she wanted to meet me. It's really unusual for her to do.So, I decided to come directly from the office to my parents' house without going home.

As I went to the living room, I found my father sitting on the black leather sofa  reading some papers. Probably related to business. He looked at me, feeling my presence and gave me a small smile.

"Food is ready!" I heard my mother's voice coming from the side of the kitchen, and as soon as her eyes fell on me, she quickly  approached me with a wide smile. "Oh, Tae..It's nice to see you, son." She hugged me and I hugged her back. I really missed her hugs. "Let's have dinner." She pulled out of the hug and requested.

I was not sure if my wife had eaten so I hesitated. "You rarely come home, you should eat with us today." she said sternly. I finally agreed as I didn't want to upset her. After all, I came back after a long time.

"Fine." Sighing, I answered briefly. Taking off his glasses, my father also got up from the sofa and went towards the dining room.

Taking off my coat, I threw it on the sofa and followed them, uncuffing my white shirt and rolling up my sleeves to my elbows.

My father is a strict type. That's why I'm not really touchy with him as much as with my mother. My mother is a loving person but my father is the complete opposite. Perhaps the reason for that is the environment in which he grew up.

My father is Korean, although he has Korean blood, he grew up in Italy since his childhood because his father, that is, my deceased grandfather, started his business in Italy.

My mother is Italian, she also comes from a business family. Their marriage was arranged by their parents.

So am I.

It is like a ritual in our families. But I am not complaining. Because my wife is the best thing that ever happen to me. Remembering her brought a smile to my face. I hope Saya must have fed her dinner.

Reaching the dining table, I pulled back a chair and sat down. The maids took the food plates and quickly placed them on the wooden table. As I shared the food on my  plate, my father, who was silent all this time, spoke. "So, son, how is your wife?"

"She's fine father." I replied,picking the spoon.

"Father is asking about the surgery," said mother.

I looked at my father, putting my spoon back on the plate. "It went well." I said, I heard mom gasp loudly.

"Can she walk now?" She questioned, her sounds surprised, My eyes were fixed on the food plate, I don't know what to say.

"No, not yet." I almost whispered, but I'm sure they heard me clearly.

"What do you mean by not yet?" Father asked. I took a deep breath. There is no point in hiding this, they will find out about it today or soon anyway.

"The doctor already told us there was only a thirty percent chance," I stated. "I need time, father." He scoffed, putting down his spoon on the plate, obviously angered by my words and look at me dead in the eyes.

"Time? Are you kidding me? I gave you a year. What more time?" I closed my eyes for a second and he was right. It seems ridiculous to ask for more time, but I have no choice.

"I'm looking for another neurologist.
Maybe—"

"Don't be stupid, Dr. Marino is a skilled neurologist famous not only in Italy but all over the world." father said, "If he can't heal your wife, there's no point in talking about it."
