It's past eleven at night and the hands of the clock are spinning but there is still no sign of Taehyung. I called him three times on my phone through Saya, but there was no response from him. Then I told Saya to call the driver, and the driver said he was in a meeting.
I wonder if he had dinner at least.
I sighed. As Mother Maria said, I was going to talk to him today. But since he is still not at home, it seems that the chances of that will decrease. I usually sleep around 10, but today I didn't sleep even though Saya insisted me to sleep because of the doctor's instructions.
The same thing he said when he come for the weekly checkups, like I need to go to sleep as soon as I take the medicine, because they are fully active when my mind is at rest. But even though I did that for three years, nothing happened. So it will not make a big difference to sacrifice today.
In any case, even if I sleep, I don't think that my mind will rest with these absurd problems running here and there in my head like a storm.
"I can't believe this." I heard Saya's voice, she was sitting on the marble floor near the bed, her back resting against the bed's edge. A book in her hand. She closed it loudly and put it on the floor, before looking up at me. "Why did she leave him?" she asked. I chuckled at her question.
She was reading my book My Love For You. It is one of the books I have written that has become more famous than I thought. I got a lot of good responses and some bad ones as well for that.
After All, there are good and bad sides to everything.
I think judging by the reaction on Saya's face, it is also one of the worst ones.
"Why?" I asked. She shook her head.
"She shouldn't have left him." she said, arms crossed over her chest, her bottom lip curled forward in a pout and her eyes glaring at the poor floor.
"You're twenty-three, not three, Saya, you're aware of that, aren't you?" I asked seeing her childish behavior.
"I am... that's why I'm asking." She turned to me,placing her crossed arms on the edge of the mattress. "I'm sorry madam, but I don't like sad endings." She mumbled.
"That's okay Saya, it's your opinion." I chuckled again. This is also one of the reasons for my book's negative response. A lot of people don't like the ending. It's sad. But people really need to understand that not every story has a happy ending. But then again, I don't think it's really as sad as they say.
"And why do you think it's a sad ending?" I asked, i want to know why her thinks like that. her brow furrowing.
"Why not? She left him "
"And him?"
"He....."
"Look, Saya, she left him because he found happiness with another woman. She thought he was happier with that woman than with her. And her happiness is his happiness." I sighed. "So in this story they both end up happy, even though the reasons for their happiness are different, right?"
She looked at me as I explained, before picking up the book on the floor to her lap again. Her fingertips ran through its cover slowly. She let out a sigh.
"I don't know, madam. An uneducated person like me doesn't understand those things." She mumbled, and I sighed at her response.
Saya is someone who had to stop studying in middle school due to lack of money. According to Saya, her father was an alcoholic and her mother ran away from their home with her when she is 10.
