Estella's Heart

TWELVE

It was Friday, a few weeks after Estella and Caspian's little problem with Noah. The guys had another game today, they were really pumped and excited since the season would soon be ending. So they were all trying their hardest to win the next few games.

Everyone was currently in gym the last period of the day, one of the only classes that Estella didn't share with Noah. She and Caspian were taking their time walking around the track, their gym teacher gave everyone an easy day today due to the home game tonight.

"You know Jessica has been following us since we've started walking" Estella told Caspian a slight frown on her face not even bothering to look back at the aggravating blonde who's name she had just learned from Ju.

"Who?" Caspian asked, confused since he didn't know any girl by the name of Jessica. Not that he would bother much to remember anyway.

"The blonde behind us, she has an obvious crush on you. She's always at every game holding up signs, day dreaming at you from across the cafeteria, and she sits behind you in one of the classes we don't have together" Estella told him the attitude obvious by her tone.

"How do you know she sits behind me in a class I don't have with you??" He laughed with a raised brow.

"I checked, I stopped by and peeked in during a restroom break in one of my classes. I was bored and the curiosity was eating me alive, there wasn't any point in asking you since your naive and willfully oblivious to certain things" she playfully snapped at him with a sassy eye-roll.

"Well Panemorfi-" he stopped walking and turned to her while glancing behind them for a moment seeing the girls face he had now become familiar with. "If you're so concerned about her, why don't you do something about it..." Caspian taunted in a whisper placing his finger under her chin.

"W-what are you doing...?" Estella stuttered, she had now become use to his antics and teases in public but right in the middle of the track where everyone could see was something new.

"Doing something about it" he trailed off right as he placed his lips on hers. Out of all the times they've kissed and shared intense and fiery moments not once have they ever kissed in public for anyone to see, after all they weren't together.

As if it had become a natural instinct, Estella could feel herself fall into him like all those times before and kiss him back. Their lips fell into the familiar motion of each other for only a few seconds before he pulled away. He knew he had probably already caused a scene, but his main objective was to simply let the annoying girl behind them catch the hint.

"Come on, I think we've stopped walking a few seconds too long. Too many mouths are hanging open" he laughed while grabbing her hand. "Including yours my love, as beautiful as it is I don't want any flies to get in there" he winked with a chuckle.

Estella only closed her mouth and allowed him to pull her along, did this mean he wanted to move forward with a deeper relationship between them. He obviously just confirmed everyone's suspicions of them being in a relationship that wasn't even happening yet.

"Why'd you kiss me in front of everyone...?"

"So that they know I'm yours and you're mine, I'm tired of the guys and their jokes since you and Noah aren't together anymore. Plus I don't like the idea of you feeling threatened because of some random girl. You belong to me, and I you. Is that ok?" He asked glancing at her

Estella only nodded her head, not saying a word in response. On one hand she wanted to jump and shout for joy, but in the other she was confused and has questions. For one what kind of jokes were they guys on the football team making? She knew it couldn't have been anything too reckless if Caspian or Tay hadn't mentioned it to her.

"What was that!!?" Juhi asked as she pushed her way through the double glass doors at the front of the school. She hadn't had a chance to talk to Estella since she'd seen them kiss from across the field. Caspian had all but kept her glued to his side after he made such a bold move.

  "A kiss...?" Estella answered bashfully with a small cheeky smile, she and Caspian had kissed tons of times but never had it made her react like this. Maybe it was because this was a public display of affection and some form of ownership and notoriety.

"So are you two like together now or something??" Juhi asked pointing her fingers at the two of them with a mischievous expression.

"Well I-" Estella began to try and formulate some type of answer before she was cut off by the rest of the guys from their previous period coming to steal Caspian away before the game.

    "I've got to go Panemorfi, I'll see you later at the game. My grandmother should be ready on time if she didn't forget." Caspian said reminding her to pickup his grandmother since she decided she wanted to attend one of his games. Giving her a quick kiss on the lips as he turned, leaving to run off with the rest of the guys.

"Well bye to you too blondie" Juhi said shaking her head at Caspian's sudden departure. The girls only watched as the group of boys ran off into the distance towards the football field.

"I need to hurry and get home, my mom wanted me to help her with a few things before tonight. I'll talk to you later ju" Estella said to Juhi as she went to walk off in the direction of her route home. She was glad she was able to avoid answering that awkward question for the time being. She didn't actually have anything to help her mom with, she just wanted to avoid interrogation.

Estella hasn't actually had to walk home by herself in a long while, normally Caspian would walk with her or she would ride with Juhi. She had her own car but just never used it, she preferred to carpool or walk if her destination wasn't too far. Obviously driving wasn't one of her favorite task, so being a passenger side princess was the ultimate goal. She took her time walking the calm almost empty streets of her neighborhood as she neared her home, she was excited for the game tonight. Mainly because Mrs. Chronis was finally going to be able to see Caspian play, after all she was the only thing closest to a parent besides his aunt that he had left. She knew that the old woman's support meant a lot to him, and she would make sure that she was going to be there to cheer him on.

Estella was not only steps away from her own door when she seen a fair skinned middle aged woman with brunette hair and a rather tall tan girl with long blonde hair storm away from Caspian's home getting into a small red two door convertible. To say she was being nosey was definitely a fact, she'd never seen the woman before and was certainly curious of the girl that was tagging along with her. Maybe they were family, or possibly no one important. She certainly had no reason to worry or be sticking her nose in someone else's business. Her only priorities right now was to get ready for the game and make sure Mrs. Chronis was also ready.

So she proceeded to do just that, she went inside the empty two story house to start getting ready. Only after she relaxes for a bit and eats a decent meal.
