IN A WORLD WHERE MEMORY IS A THREADBARE TAPESTRY, Jason wakes in a school bus, holding hands with a stranger, his past a void. His surroundings were unfamiliar, he was thrust into the Wilderness School, a place for troubled kids.
Despite his amnesia, the people around him seem to know him, especially Piper and Leo. Yet, he can't shake the feeling that something is off.
Coach Hedge, with his volatile temper and baseball bat, only adds to Jason's unease. As they visit the Grand Canyon, a storm unlike any other looms ominously above.
When Coach Hedge confronts Jason about being different, mentioning terms like "half-blood" and "monster," Jason's confusion deepens. His inexplicable possession of a mysterious gold coin further complicates matters.
Amidst the tension, Piper, the girl from the bus, faces ridicule from peers about her heritage. An arrogant boy named Dylan exacerbates the situation with unwanted advances. Leo, Jason's purported friend, attempts to lighten the mood with his quirky antics, even building a makeshift helicopter out of pipe cleaners.
The looming storm intensifies, and Jason feels a piercing pain behind his eyes. Sensing danger and feeling out of place, he seeks answers from Coach Hedge, who cryptically hints at an impending extraction and a special package.
Before they can delve deeper, the storm unleashes its fury, forcing everyone to seek shelter.
As they rush inside, the weight of Jason's forgotten past and Coach Hedge's cryptic warnings hang heavily in the air, leaving Jason to grapple with questions about his identity, his mysterious coin, and the unsettling reality that he might not belong to the world he's in.
Sooner or later, Jason, Piper, and Leo found themselves in the aftermath of a chaotic confrontation with storm spirits on a skywalk.
The storm spirits, led by Dylan, had launched a surprise attack, attempting to harm the them. Coach Hedge, revealing his Satyr identity, had valiantly tried to protect the trio, with Jason discovering a mysterious ability to wield a golden sword.
However, despite their efforts, the confrontation left the group separated and in dire situations.
Piper and Leo were recovering on the skywalk, trying to piece together the bizarre events that had just unfolded.
Jason, showing no fear of heights, took a leap of faith to save Piper as she dangled over the abyss, discovering an unknown ability to control the wind and float in mid-air. Despite this newfound power, he was still grappling with his forgotten identity and past.
The group realized they needed to regroup and find Coach Hedge, who had been taken by the storm spirit, Dylan. The storm continued to rage, with the threat of the storm spirits still looming. Jason, Piper, and Leo were left with more questions than answers about their identities and the enemies they had awakened.
