"Piper! Annabeth! We have a guest! Come inside!" A young woman yelled out the back door of the house. When she left the doorway, a white lioness and a tiger that looked like it was on fire ran inside. Two seconds later the two felines were replaced by two girls. The tiger was replaced by a tan girl with feathers in her braided brown hair. She had the same bright orange eyes as the tiger. She was wearing a white off-the-shoulder t-shirt tucked into high waisted shorts and blue converse sneakers. When she turned around to close the door Thalia could see the start of a tattoo that looked like a lightning bolt. The lioness had been replaced by a girl who had princess curls in her blonde hair and piercing gray eyes. This girl was wearing a navy blue tank top with a gray wavy knee length skirt and navy blue flip flops.

They turned to their guest. She was a tall-ish girl with black choppy hair and black clothes. Although her clothes said 'don't mess with me,' she actually looked lost and sad.

"I'm Annabeth Chase and this is Piper. You've already met Calypso, I assume." The blonde girl, Annabeth, gestured to the young woman who had called then inside. "Who are you and how can we help you?"

"I'm Thalia Grace. I was wondering if I could join your pack." The girl in black clothes answered.

"Oh. Um.. Are you a shifter?" Piper asked.

"No. I'm a storm spirit. I can control the wind, lightning, thunder, etcetera. See." Thalia demonstrated by summoning a ball of lightning into her hand and then making it disperse.

Piper and Annabeth looked at each other. They didn't know if it would be wise to let Thalia join their pride, not because they didn't like her, of course, but because storms spirits were hunted down and sold for money. They didn't know if this was a safe decision.

"Um-"

"I promise you, no one else knows what I am. Except for you guys and my brother." Thalia reassured them.

"Your brother? Where is he?" Piper asked curiously.

"I honestly don't know. I don't know if he's dead or alive. I haven't seen him in almost a year." Thalia answered.

"Oh." Was all Annabeth could say. "Well, in that case,you can join. We'll introduce you to the rest of the pack."

Thalia had met the rest of the pack. There were only three more girls that she hadn't met; Miranda, Silena, and Drew. They were all very nice and this seemed like a great place to be. She just missed her brother. She wondered if she would ever see him, if he was even alive right now. Her thoughts were interrupted by someone knocking on the door to her new room in the pack house. She walked over and opened the door. It was Piper.

"We've got to go. We're being attacked." Piper exclaimed. Thalia's eyes widened.

"What? What do you mean? By who?" Thalia was scared. She had just gotten here and they were already being attacked.

"Not who. What." Piper corrected. "There's a chimera out in the woods. A big one. We've got to go. Now." Piper spun on her heel and ran downstairs. Thalia was right behind her.

When they got outside, the rest of the pack was already there. They were all still in human form, though. The chimera was huge. It was tearing up the woods behind the pack house. Before long, it would reach the house. Annabeth turned to the pack.

"Alright girls, here's the plan. Piper and I will go at it from the front. Miranda, from the right side and Silena from the left. Calypso and Drew, you attack the back and Thalia, you're our air support." Annabeth ordered. "Got it?" Everyone nodded and got ready. Shifters shifted and Thalia charged her hands with lightning. Thalia found out earlier that Drew was a Snow Leopard, Miranda was a Tiger (but not an on-fire one like Piper), Calypso was a Cheetah and Silena was a Panther.

They were all about to attack when they heard a howl. They all froze and looked toward the sound.

"Big dinner tonight guys!" Someone shouted, followed by laughter and more howls.

At least ten wolves came rushing out of the forest. They all attacked the chimera and it was down within minutes. They all started to tear into the chimera, when Annabeth's lion form let out a guttural roar, surprising them all. They immediately went alert and started to growl at the all female pride. The girls growled back. Then one of the wolves shifted.

"Now, now ladies, can't we all play nice?" Asked the smug looking green-eyed boy who approached them. Annabeth and Piper shifted back to humans.

"No, we cannot. You've trespassed on our land." Annabeth ground out.

"Plus, that was our kill." Piper added angrily.

Another wolf shifted into a tall, mean looking girl.

"Excuse me? Your kill? We've been hunting that thing for days and you have the nerve to say it was your kill?" The girl growled at them. The boy chuckled softly.

"Calm down, Clarisse. We did trespass." He informed her. He turned back to Annabeth and Piper. "We are sorry for the intrusion, but as she said, we've been hunting this thing for days."

"I assume you're the Alpha then?" Piper asked. The boy laughed again.

"No. Our Alpha and a few others are back home helping a new recruit settle in." The boy answered. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Percy Jackson, Beta of the Blood Moon Pack."

"I'm Annabeth Chase. I'm the Alpha of this pride and this Piper McLean-Valdez, the beta." Annabeth introduced.

"Guys!" Percy yelled to his pack. "Shift. Introduce yourselves."

And so they did. There was Clarisse LaRue, the mean looking girl; Tyson and Triton- siblings with no last name; Travis and Connor Stoll, brothers not twins surprisingly; Katie Gardner; Zoe Nightshade; Phoebe- no last name; Frank Zhang, who unlike the rest of them was a shapeshifter, not a wolf shifter like the rest of them; and their Alpha, Artemis, who was currently absent. The Thorn Clan also introduced their members. 

"Now that we're all acquainted, I don't suppose we could forget this incident and be friends?" Percy asked. Annabeth raised an eyebrow.

"Friends? Maybe not. But allies? Sure." Annabeth answered.

"Alright. Good enough for me." Percy grinned. "Oh, and Thalia, right?" Thalia nodded. "We've got another storm spirit at home with the same last name as you. Plus he looks a hell of a lot similar. Any chance you've got a brother?"

"That's Jason!" Thalia exclaimed. "Is he okay? Did he get hurt?" She started spouting of questions and Percy looked so overwhelmed by the sudden onslaught. Everyone laughed at him.

"Yeah. Yeah, he's fine. Just joined this morning." Thalia smiled so brightly, Percy thought he would go blind.

"Tell him I say 'hi', okay? And that I miss him and that I'm sorry, okay?" Thalia asked. Percy nodded.

"Okay..." Percy chuckled. "We've got to get going guys. Arty'll be pissed if we're late. See you around." He waved then turned and ran. As he ran, he shifted into a large black wolf. The rest of his pack soon followed and they were gone.
