"Reyna. I've got a mission for you." A voice boomed. A dark haired vampire appeared in front of the the man the voice came from. She kneeled down and bowed her head.

"Yes, my lord?" The girl, Reyna, asked.

"Find this boy. Bring him here. I have some... questions for him." The man chuckled darkly. Reyna looked at the image and shuddered inwardly at what she knew was in store for this boy.

"Yes, Lord Kronos."

"So, Mr. Jackson. You are the only human of the Blood Moon Pack, the older brother of the Beta and a person who is trusted with very important pieces of information on this pack. Including, say, I don't know, greatest weaknesses or attack plans." Kronos said to the blond, 18 year old boy who was shackled to the wall by his wrists and ankles. The boy was shirtless. His chest was already covered in numerous cuts and slashes, all bleeding heavily.

"What do you want, you bastard?" The boy spat out. Kronos laughed. He nodded to Reyna, who was standing near the boy and holding a bloody knife. She used her speed to add three more cuts to the boys chest. His face twisted in pain, but he did not make a sound.

"'What do I want,' you ask. I want you to tell me how to kill your little shifter friends." Kronos answered.

"Never."

"Now, Luke. You wouldn't want me to cut off those pretty little fingers of yours, would you?" Kronos asked as if he was talking to a child.

"Go ahead, asshole. I'll never tell you anything." Luke sneered at him. Then he spat in Kronos's face. Kronos sighed as he wiped the spit off his face.

"Such a waste. You might have been useful." Kronos said. He turned to Reyna. "Kill him."

"No."

"What?" Kronos almost shouted. Reyna stepped forward.

"I'm tired of your evilness and your tyranny. I'm done listening to you." As soon as the words left her mouth, Reyna shot at Kronos and before he could fight back, she chopped off his head with her knife.

As she kicked away Kronos's head, she heard Luke's ragged breathing. She turned and saw that his wounds were still bleeding heavily and they weren't stopping anytime soon. He would die if she didn't help him.

She used her silver knife to cut a line on her wrist. She held it up to Luke's mouth.

"Drink this. It will help you." Reyna whispered to him. Luke weakly shook his head.

"No..." He croaked.

"You'll die if you don't." She put her wrist against his mouth and forced him to drink.

Luke's head was pounding. It felt like a tiny person was using a large hammer to repeatedly bang on the insides of his skull. To make things worse, he was starving. It felt like he hadn't eaten in weeks.

He groaned and forced his eyes open. He was in a strange room. It's was pretty empty, with only the bed he was currently in and the bedside table next to him. He sat up and swung his legs off the bed. Where am I?  He thought. Why aren't I home? What happened?

Kronos. Blood. The knife. Drinking something? Images flashed through his head, but he knew it wasn't all of what happened. Just bits and pieces, but most of it.

Just then the door to the small room opened. A dark haired girl wearing a bright purple shirt, a black and gold leather jacket and black pants came it. Luke noticed her hair was tied in a braid to the side. She looked familiar. Then it hit him. Reyna. He scrambled back on the bed until his back hit the wall.

"You." He breathed out.

"My name's Reyna. I'm not sure if you remember everything-"

"I remember what you did. That really hurt, by the way." Luke interrupted. She laughed humorless.

"Sorry about that. I had to keep my cover. I have been planning to kill Kronos for a while now, and you gave me the perfect opportunity." Reyna explained.

"Oh." Then his stomach rumbled. Reyna snickered and grabbed a glass of red liquid off of the bedside table. He hadn't noticed that before. She handed it to him.

"This should help." She said and smiled.

"What is it?" Luke knew he shouldn't drink strange beverages from strange people, but it smelled so good and he couldn't resist. He took a sip. It tasted even better than it smelled- like the fresh apple pie his mother used to make him.

"Blood."

Luke stopped drinking. A million thoughts raced through his head at once. He heard her wrong, right?

"Wha-what?" He choked out.

"It's blood." She repeated.

"What do you mean? Why does it taste so good?"

"I guess I have a lot of explaining to do." Reyna grimaced. He wasn't going to like this. "Long story short, you were dying and the only way to help you was to give you my blood. You needed a lot. Because you drank so much, you turned." Reyna paused. "I couldn't think of any other way to help you. I'm sorry."

"What- why- oh my gods. He's going to hate me." Luke whispered. Reyna was confused.

"Who?" She asked.

"My brother. He's a shifter. They hate vampires." He answered dejectedly.

"Oh. I'm so sorry."

"No, no. Don't be. You saved my life. I owe you everything." Luke said. "It's my own fault for getting into this mess in the first place. I went out alone and they got the jump on me." Then something occurred to him. "How long have I been out?" Luke asked nervously. Reyna looked at him.

"Two days. Why?" She answered.

"Dammit. He's going to think the worst if I don't go back. And I can't." Luke said. "He knew I was going near dangerous vamp territory. Dammit."

"Or he'll think your dead." Reyna suggested. Luke looked up at her.

"That's so much better. I'd rather he think I'm dead than that I betrayed him."

"We'll spread the word, if you'd like." Reyna offered.

"Yes, please. Thank you."

"But anyways, do you want to join our Clan? Now that Kronos is gone, it's a much better place." Reyna told him. He thought about it.

"Well, I've got no where else to go, so yes. I'd like that." Luke gave her a small smile. Reyna smiled back.

"Welcome to the Clan of Swords."
