"Yo what's up with gio?"

I had to ask. Gio's been moving a bit weird for the last four weeks. She barely looks at me and doesn't even speak to me anymore and I would like to know why.

"What you mean? Gio's been perfectly fine." Zia said looking at her phone. Okay I didn't like the way she said that.

"Well not to me. She doesn't even look at me anymore." I said sitting back in my seat observing the conversation between Gio and some random but very pretty girl. Sigh.

"Why did you do something?" Zia said shifting her body so she was facing me. We were currently under a tree on campus watching Gio from afar.

"Nah. We was cool before but all of a sudden she's avoiding me." I said looking away from Gio and the girl.

"Well, why don't you ask her?" She said pointing to her. "What's the point? It's not like she's going to talk to me." I said looking back at Gio seeing that her and the girl are now hugging and laughing together. I'm so confused.

"I can ask her if you want but I don't think you're going to get the answer you're looking for. Gio's kind of hard to get to talk about her feelings so it might not be easy." Zia said looking at Gio too.

"You know what forget it. I'll just match her energy." I said packing my stuff up, getting ready to leave.

"Nah don't do that. You need to talk to her for real and solve whatever the problem is between y'all."

"But that's the thing Zia. I don't know what her problem or whatever the problem between us is. I did absolutely nothing to her. But it's cool. I'm not tripping for real." I said getting up.

Zia sighed and looked up at me. "I'll see you later okay?"

"I guess." She said before going back on her phone.

Fuck talking to her. I'll just match her energy. The vibe she's giving to me is going to be sent right back to her.

"Jae. I'm going to Jo's place. You wanna come with?" Jai said before grabbing her keys. After leaving Zia, I came to my sisters dorm to relax study and eat her food. Mostly eat her food.

"Nah I'm good. Have fun though." I said looking back to the tv while eating some spicy noodles.

"Okay .. Usually you would say yes. Why don't you want to come?"

"It's nothing. Go have fun Jai."

"Jasmine. I am not playing with you. I have been with you and took care of you your whole damn life. I know something is wrong because you always wanna ride with me to go see them. I also know damn well something happened, talk to me." She said sitting down on the couch next to me.

I sighed and sat up. "Gio's been acting weird. But not to everyone else. Only me. And I don't know what I did. She's been avoiding me, not talking to me and ignoring my presence. Shit like that hurts my feelings Jai because I always feel like I fuck everything up and ruin friendships between me and other people."

She didn't say anything for a while. She only looked at me.

"Yea you need to go with me so you can talk to her. Keeping that in is doing nothing but hurting your feelings even more. You keep that in? You'll explode. And don't ever think that you fuck up every friendship or relationship that you have because it's either both of y'all or them. You are a very sweet girl that does nothing to nobody. So get up, put your big nigga panties on, and let's go." She finally said. And no, she didn't tell me. She DEMANDED me. Like okay girl.
