9. Date?

(SHORT CHAPTER SRRYY)

Whoever thought pop quizzes were a good surprise couldn't be more wrong. I've been watching the clock tick for the past 10 minutes, waiting to get out of here.

I look at Ashley to see her also staring at the clock. It finally rings, and we both rush out of the room.

"This class is so tiring," Ashley says from next to me. "What should we do?" Delaney joins us.

We all think for a second before Ashley blurts out, "The guys are at football practice right now." She adds, "Let's go watch."

I look at her, and while Delaney agrees, I am confused about why we would do such a boring thing after spending 7 hours doing even more boring stuff.

I nod, and we head over to the field. I sit there for a good couple minutes, but it's pretty boring. I get out a book icebreaker to read.

I start reading, but I notice a player got tackled hard. Hearing a bunch of laughter, I look up for a slight minute. To see Chase rolling on the floor while laughing.

Pff boys

I notice another player, a blonde guy, next to Chase.

He's kind of cute.

I keep watching, and I don't know much about football, but he looks like a good player. Delaney waves a hand in my face.

"Woohoo, who are you staring at?" I look at her, then go back to the book and say, Nobody. "Blonde guy?" Ashley asks, directing her towards me.

"Hes kind of cute," I respond and look at them. "Talk to him, Liv."

"They're practicing" I point out the obvious. "Well, no, duh, ask after practice," Ashley says in a duh tone.

"Im not sure," I answer to them, "What, why not?" Delaney asks as we start walking away from the field.

"I don't know, I mean," I add, "Im not even into blondes." Ashley speaks up, looking towards me, "But you're into him."

"Who are you guys talking about?" I hear Noah come up behind us as well as the rest of the football team. "Nobody," I quickly blurted out.

"Wait for me here," Chase calls out while going to the locker room. I see the blonde guy from earlier make a face and come up to me.

"Hey, are you and Chase a thing or?" He says

I look up to him; he looks like hes a good 6ft tall with broad shoulders and looks like he works out. "Oh, please, no," I laugh. "Hes my brother's best friend."

He chuckles and starts off, "Im Lucas and you?"

I answer him, "Olivia."

"It's nice to meet you, Olivia." He heads back to the locker room but stops facing me once more. "Would you want to go out sometime?" I start smiling; I can't help it.

"I'll give you my number." We exchange numbers, and he walks away to shower. I hear the girls whispering behind me.

"We are going to make you fabulous for the date."
