Lee Minho
My car comes to a stop when I finally spot a boy standing outside the resturant. His arms wrapped around himself to fight the cold evening breeze, and his head hung low.
He finally looks up when I pull infront of him, but he speeds to the passenger seat, not letting me take a proper glance at his face.
My heart was beating in my ears, however. I wasn't expecting a phone call from my best friend today, especially not a sad one. I came here as fast as I could, but even seeing the boy sad made me want to break down.
"Sung?"
Jisung ignores me and takes a seat on the passanger seat, closing the car door behind him. He kept looking down at his hands, not letting me look at his face.
"Sungie do you wanna talk about it?" I gently whisper, reaching my hand out to pat the youngers shoulder.
Jisung just sighs, "When we get home..."
As if on cue, I close my mouth. I didn't want to upset the younger anymore, and I knew that he would be honest with me when he's ready.
I mean, it's my job as his hyung to be here for him, so I continue to drive in silence, occasionally glancing over with a frown at the boy next to me.
What did that Baekho do now?
Once we finally pull into the driveway of the Hans residence, I turn the car off with a sigh and look to jisung. The boy now had his eyes closed and his eyebrows furrowed, he almost looked asleep and having a bad dream.
I unbuckle my seatbelt and reach a hand out, brushing the boys bangs out his eyes, "Sungie, we're home. Do you want to get out now?" I softly ask, letting my palm rest on his cheek.
Jisungs eyes slowly flutter open and we make eye contact. I could clearly see the glassiness in his eyeballs and tense expression. It's the same way he'd look everytime he was holding back tears, I've come to recognize it over the years.
I frown and move away, opening my door and walking around the car to Jisungs side. I open his door and lean in again, "Come on sungie... we can go inside and watch something if you want?"
The younger just sits there looking sad and trying to avoid eye contact. Though I would usually laugh at the small pout on his lips, my heart was currently too busy ripping in half.
"Sung don't be like this..." I rub his shoulder, feeling the way his shoulder slowly began to shake.
"I-I ruined your night..." Jisung says barely above a whisper, staring ahead at the windshield instead of at me.
"Ruined? You know you didn't. I was available, I always am sungie." I try to send a reassuring smile.
"But your plans.. with everyone..." Jisung mumbles, his gaze shifting to his hands.
I can't help but let out a small chuckle, "We rescheduled it, turns out Jeongin had an exam to study for." I pat the youngers cheek with comfort. "So I was really going to spend the night watching Netflix and call you after your date." I smile.
"Oh." Was all jisung said, his gaze still doesn't lift from his hands however. When I try to lean down and catch his eyes, I notice a thin stream of water slipping down his cheeks, followed by another.
My quick smile faded
"Come here." I say softly, standing up straight as jisung unbuckles his seatbelt and gets out the car. He stands up and practically walks into my arms, letting his head lean on my chest.
"Minho hyunggg." He finally lets out the sob he was holding in, burying his face in my neck. His body shaking with each sound he made muffled by my body.
