Each passing second was no different than any other. Moon had talked to Earth about the whole situation along with some other things on his mind. Earth had offered to talk to Ruin in a private session and go from there.
Moon just had to wait for that to be over and done with. Who knows, maybe they are doing that now and he'll get a response today or tomorrow.
Moon had been waiting patiently for the daycare to close up on the tower balcony. He was simply tinkering with a simple piece of tech that he had built with a bit of help from the computer. Once the daycare had officially closed, Sun, Lunar and Earth got together again to clean up.
Moon had offered several times before to help clean but they always refused so he just told them 'if you need any help you can come to me' He continued to tinker with the mechanics, he must've been so deep in focus that he didn't notice when Solar came in the door behind him, but what he did notice was orange the hand on his shoulder.
"GOOD FFFFF..udge..." Moon exclaimed loudly causing his siblings to look up at him for a second and chuckle. "Solar..!"
"Sorry!" Solar apologized.
Moon tackled Solar down and layed on top of him, quickly gaining his ground.
"Ack!" Solar choked. "Okay, okay! Even! Even! Get off.."
Moon did so and rolled off and sat in the corner behind the curtain, picking up his little robot thing and looking at the mechanics to make sure nothing was broken.
"What are you working on?" Solar asked.
"A little robot animal, I had some help from the computer to start it." Moon mentioned.
Solar shuffled over to Moon and sat beside him, their bodies hidden by the curtain. Solar's hand mindlessly drifted to Moon's face and turned it to face him. He leaned close.
"May I..?" Solar blurted.
Moon froze, looking into his eyes.
"Y-yeah.." He breathed.
Solar leaned in and kissed him it was relatively short but each second just made Moon's heart flutter with excitement.
When Solar released his hand drifted to Moon's waist and pulled the two into a soft hug. Moon could feel the excitement boil as his internal fans wirred loudly.
Solar pulled away raising his hands impulsively.
"Sorry! Too much?" Solar worried.
"Perfect..." Moon uttered. "That- that was perfect."
Solar looked away in surprise, the heat catching up to him now. Just then the lights in the daycare go out, only the simple LED light fixtures gave a glimmer of sight.
"Oh!" Solar called, obviously taken aback about this.
"Is it already that late?" Moon questioned.
"I guess..?"
"We should head home..."
"Actually, do you maybe want to come over to my place, have a day there?" Solar suggested.
"Sure!"
Moon and Solar began to the door, creating some 'small' talk about mechanics and technology. But it wasn't quite small because of the two being enthralled in the arts of creating mechanical things.
