Moon woke up in a cold sweat. He looked down at the clock: 1:11.
Breathe.
"Holy fuck..." He murmured.
Moon sat up as he looked around the room then at his feet. Nothing was out of the ordinary. He stood up and began to walk around. He walked down the stairs and just sat in the corner of the kitchen. He didn't know why but he did. It was dark. The room was only barely illuminated by the glowing digital clocks on the stove and microwave.
He sat there for a few minutes before looking up. He stood up and went around the house and locked the doors.
Moon finally went back upstairs and laid back down with Solar.
.
.
.By the time morning came, he was woken up by Solar tapping his shoulder.
"Moon," he mumbled.
Moon propped himself up.
"Yeah?" Moon croaked.
"Sun told me to get you for breakfast."
"Okay. I'll be down in a moment."
Solar nodded and left the room. Moon got up slowly and got downstairs and sat down at the island next to Solar.
"Here you go..."
The mood was quiet and sad. Moon sighed softly. He looked down at the plate he was given. It was a simple french toast. He ate quietly.
"Solar, are you alright?" Sun asked.
"Yeah" he murmured, something told him that he was lying "Thanks once again for letting me stay."
"It's no problem really." Moon acknowledged.
He began to eat the breakfast Sun made.
After a few silent moments Moon got up and washed his dishes and sat on the couch to calm down a bit.
Solar walked over and sat close to him. After a moment of indecisiveness he laid in his lap.
"Is this okay?" Solar asked slowly.
"Yes of course." Moon uttered.
Moon held him close. He would be a liar to say that this wasn't cute.
Moon's mind went elsewhere before he could get a word out though. He glanced at the window for a moment then back at his boyfriend. He had to look again though as he thought he saw some standing there. Yet despite what he swore he saw, there was no one there.
He hadn't even realized that it had spooked him so much till Solar had brought attention to it. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, yeah" He acknowledged then confirmed "Just thought I saw someone."
"What did you see?"
"I don't know. Just someone standing just outside the window. It was just the corner of my eye, it's probably nothing." Moon assured.
"Okay."
Moon and Solar sat there calmly and made small talk to distract them from what was happening outside.
