The Light of Dusk

🖤 - Call

Moon laid on the couch staring at the ceiling.

What is happening? Whoever that person is they didn't seem good in the slightest sense. This is worrying. Who were they? They were obviously his roommate but who? They seemed to mistreat Solar. Is he ok?

"Moon?"

What if he's being hurt?

"Moon!" Sun tapped Moon on the shoulder grabbing his attention.

"Huh? Sorry."

"Your phone's been ringing for ten minutes." Sun handed him his ringing phone.

"Huh... Sorry."

Sun raised his eyebrow at how apologetic Moon had been. He stepped into the other room to let him take the call.

Moon looked at the contract to see who it was. Solar.

"Solar?"

For a moment all Moon could hear was a quiet sniffle.

"Moon..?" His voice was full of sorrow and fear.

"Solar are you okay? What's going on?"

"Can I come over? I- I'll explain when I get there." Solar's must have been whispering concerning how quiet his voice picked up.

"Yes of course, you're always welcome."

Moon heard the sound of the call going dead before he could say anything else.

He walked up to Sun to tell him what was happening.

"Sun?" His voice was obviously troubled.

Sun turned to Moon with worry having never really seen his brother so troubled.

"Are you okay? What happened?"

"I'm fine, Solar's coming over. I just got a rather concerning call from him."

"Okay, why don't we watch a movie or play a game while we wait?"

"Movie sounds good."

Sun and Moon sat in the living room watching a movie while they anxiously waited for Solar's arrival.
