The Light of Dusk

🖤 - Roommates

Moon woke up slowly as he heard the front door open. Moon looked next to him, Solar still laying right next to him. He figured it was one of Solar's Roommates. Solar must've heard them as he watched his figure stur awake slowly.

"Sola-" Solar gently placed his hand over Moon's face as someone walks through the door and turns on the light.

"Solar." The voice of his roommate was low and angry.

"Yes?"
"Who the fuck was here?"
"A friend."
"Well your friend moved my shit."

Solar sighed heavily.

"I'll be there in a moment I have a few things to do." Solar explained. He got up and let go of Moon when the person had closed the door.

"Wha-"
"You should go." Solar cut him off.

"Solar..."

"Please, go home."

Moon obliged as Solar escorted him and he went home. Once Moon had gotten home he greeted Sun who noticed immediately that something was off.

"What's up?" Sun asked.

"Solar's hiding something."
"Oh."
"Mhm..."

Moon stood there in awkward silence and rocked on his heels for a moment. Moon eventually walked outside and onto the deck looking out on the ocean ahead and the overcast above.

Moon felt a small raindrop on his faceplate as the skies began to imitate how he felt; anger, betrayal but most inamantly fear. He feared that Solar may get hurt and he wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

In this very moment he felt useless.

"Moon?" Sun called. "Why are you sitting out in the rain?"

Moon hadn't even noticed that the downpour had become more than a small sprinkle and now had started to seep through his clothing.

"Oh." Moon said. "It's raining"

Sun started laughing at the seemingly obvious fact.

"Come inside." Sun recommended.

"Good idea." Moon said getting up and heading to his room.
