Back at the firehouse, Bobby was cutting up some vegetables...

Ashleigh walked up the stairs, staring at Bobby.

"Are you ever gonna say something?" Asked Ashleigh.

Bobby put the knife down, turning around and looking at Ashleigh.

"I don't know, Ash. What would you like me to say?" Bobby asked.

"Uh, I mean... I mean, usually, it's... "What were you thinking?" "That was reckless." Or my... personal favourite, "You could've been killed." Ashleigh muttered.

"No, it doesn't seem like I need to have the conversation, Ash; you know it by heart already. And, still, you went full Ash."

Bobby turned back around, continuing to cut the vegetables

Bobby turned back around, continuing to cut the vegetables.

"You say that like it's a bad thing." Ashleigh mumbled.

Bobby signed, turning around and finding Ashleigh standing closer.

"You'll never be the woman who thinks before she acts. And I've learned to come to terms with that. In part because I realised I didn't have a choice. You're never gonna change. But also because I know that whatever actions you take, no matter how dangerous or impulsive they may be, they come from your heart. Because you care." Bobby tells Ashleigh.

"Wow. Thank you." Ashleigh says.

"Today was not that. You didn't get caught up in some moment and rush in where angels fear to tread. You made a deliberate choice to make yourself a target." Bobby said.

"Yeah. Yeah, I made myself a target because I wasn't gonna let any of you guys take that risk because I cannot handle anyone else getting hurt right now." Ashleigh says.

"Ash, what happened to Buck was not your fault." Said Bobby.

"No. No, I was just the woman standing there when it happened who couldn't do anything to protect him. Well, today, I could do something to protect the rest of you. So I did."

Bobby stared at Ashleigh, then turned back around to the vegetables

Bobby stared at Ashleigh, then turned back around to the vegetables.

"We are a team, and we're supposed to protect each other. Don't do it again." Bobby said.

Later that night, Ashleigh walked downstairs to her apartment, finding Eddie there...

"That was it?" Asked Eddie.

"Yeah, it felt like some kind of weird reverse psychology thing. Think I prefer it when he just yells at me." Ashleigh muttered, holding some clothes.

"Oh, I could yell at you if you think that would help." Eddie tells Ashleigh.

"Oh, come on, you were there." Ashleigh said.

"There's at least half a dozen videos on the Internet of your climb up that crane. All taken from nearby windows. Any one of those people could have had a gun and shot at your big, stupid head." Eddie says.

"I was wearing a helmet." Ashleigh tells Eddie.

"Not made of Kevlar, dumbass." Eddie mumbled.

"Hold on a second. It almost sounds like you were worried about me." Ashleigh said.

"I'm annoyed with you. You're not invincible. You could've gotten hurt. Or worse." Eddie muttered.

"But I didn't." Ashleigh murmured.

They were staring at each other, and Eddie moved slightly.
