Previously:
T- Someone put the temperature up to 30°C(86°F).
L- That's why I got so warm. Probably Ange who did it to make me take of that sweater.
They laughed it of and went to the sofa again. Tim sat down in the middle and Lucy sat down beside him they put on top chef and watched a couple of episodes before Lucy started dozing of. She fell asleep in Tim's arms. He started braiding her hair, he knew he needed to practice. Especially if they have a baby girl in the future.
T- Morning sleepyhead
L- Morning handsome. What time is it?
T- 9.30 am
L- Why didn't you wake me?
T- I thought you needed that sleep.
L- Well thanks. Been up long?
T- Very long, I woke up as much as 5 seconds before you.
L- Well thats crucial
T- Atleast I had something beautiful to look at
L- Well that's good
She sat up and leaned in for a kiss. A kiss that you want to last forever. Never letting eachother go. A kiss filled with love and emotion.
T- I could do this all day
L- Me too. What's happened in my hair?
T- I braided it
L- Wait, Tim Bradford braided my hair? You really are a big softie
T- Only for you
L- Awwww that's why I love you!
T- Because I'm a softie?
L- Not only because of that ofc but it's one of the many reasons. Now can I have more kisses? I miss your lips
T- I never thought you would ask!
A/N I'm sorry for going this much forward but I don't really have the motivation to write almost the same things happening to them for months so I think this is the best way to do it. I hope you like the way this story turns out and that you are excited for the end. If I'm being really honest I don't even know exactly what will happen or how it will end but I do have some ideas. If you haven't already read my other one-shot story please check it out. Now I won't hold you from reading so back to the story!
Fast forward a couple of months:
Lucy and Tim has both gone back to work and everything is back on track. Lucy has almost let it go about losing her baby and is feeling a lot better. Tim still worries for her but has made the decision that she is better and that they need to put it in the past. Not forget but just leave it a side for now. Angela and Lucy are currently working together on a case and Tim is in San Francisco taking down a drug cartel together with metro and has been gone a week. It's currently end of shift for Lucy and Angela and they decided to gather the gang and head to a bar as they all are free tomorrow.
A- How's it going with Tim away?
L- It's fine but I miss him a lot. It's been a while since we were away from eachother for this long time. It feels empty at home. Especially now that Tamara is staying at college for the weekend.
A- I get it. Wesley needed to work a case in New York a couple months ago and it felt like a year without him by my side.
N- I you want we can hang out tomorrow?
L- I'd love that. What should we do?
J- Bailey and I are going to this new paintball course if y'all wanna join?
L- Sure, then I'll have time to memorise the course for when me and Tim go there so I can beat his ass without any effort. You should have seen him last time, he almost cried cause I hit him in the leg.
A- He really is a softie...!
L- Yeah, he really is. But he also really is my big softie so I'm thankfull for that.
The next day:
L- Are you ready to get your ass beaten?
A- Yeah right!
L- So you don't think we can win over you?
A- I would say get ready to lose.
L- We'll see about that.
They run out on the field. Lucy finds a really good hiding and sniper spot so she can see almost all the activity happening on the field. She shoots Nolan and he just gets confused of who shot him. Nyla manages to get Aaron down easy so now it's only the gals left on the field. Nyla and lucy on team blue, Angela and Celina team yellow. Both Lucy and Angela has been shooting champs but the recent one was Lucy. She also had a very good shooting site. Nyla and Celina managed to shoot eachother at the exact same time so both are out. Now it's war. That's when she remembered what Tim had told her. "If you were it, where would you go?" She quickly managed to think of Angela and everything that she had said during the last days of where she would hide. That's when it hit her. She needs to trick her! She shot a paintball at one of the trees behind her so when Angela went serching for where she was she would be right behind shooting her in the back. And just as she thought, Angela fell straight into her trap. Think like a crook. The wise words every cop has ever told her and now she finally proved those words right.
L- I guess it's over now.
A- Well done, I'm acctually impressed. You really did use my own tactics against me without me noticing. No wonder you do so well undercover. Tim really should be proud of you.
T- Oh I already am!
L- TIIIIMMMM!!! What are you doing here?!?!??
T- I went to surprise you! We finished the op so I thought I would come here and see how you were doing.
Lucy ran as fast as she could and jumped in his arms hugging him really tight.
L- I missed you
T- I missed you too honey
L- How did you know where we were?
T- Well I went home but noone was ther so I got worried and checked your location and now I'm here!
L- Well I'm happy you're back!
T- Me too. I love you
L- Love you more!
T- Don't think that's possible
L- Well then you're wrong! But you are however looking at the new paintball champion!
T- Well I don't think that will last very long do I!
A- Let her stay champion for a day or two, she really deserves it.
T- Really?
A- Let's say she did quite a good job while you were gone. Work that includes getting 2 murderers, 3 human traffickers and a pedofile behind bars
T- Wow, now I'm even more impressed!
They all gathered at the food trucks for lunch before going home.
When Tim and Lucy got home they went straight to the shower to enjoy the warm water and that they were finally back together.
Tim had been without contact from the station since he left due to safety risks for both him and everyone around him. He wasn't even aloud to bring pictures or a burner phone. Only have contact with his metro team.
Tim got out of the shower to dry himself up a bit before Lucy so she would have more space to dry her hair.
