POV Eileen
The sun came out strong this morning. It's hitting me right into the face. Last night, we all slept in one bed. Just in case.
Ava is hugging my waist, drooling all over my clothes. I chuckle at the cute vision. She has the same personality as I did when I was her age. That's not good for the rest of the people, though.
"Good morning," a sleepy voice says. Anthony is yawning, getting up and fixing the hair out of his face.
"Morning. Sleep well?" I ask him, grinning. He nods, stretching and following to the room's bathroom.
I sit there for a couple more minutes. I couldn't sleep much. For multiple reasons, actually. I just want a hug. Someone who can comfort me. Not that I don't like my sibling's hugs, but I want a mum hug. I missed when her hugs were warm. When she didn't flinch when we touched her because of all of the wounds on her body caused by the disease.
My phone's alarm starts to go off. I moan in distress. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it through this day without more sleep. I have school in the morning, then work. I'll probably need some coffee.
I get dressed with some oversized jeans and a grey shirt. I put some concealer on to hide the pimple that decided to be in my face today and some eyeliner. I turn my gaze at the bed. Ava's still asleep. I go up to her, shaking her slightly.
"Ava, baby, it's time to get up." I tell her, moving a hair strand out of her mouth.
"Nooooo." She groans in response, pushing me away, making me roll my eyes playfully. There it is. Just like younger me.
I pick her up in my arms, helping her get ready while she's still half asleep.
"You're rather turning into a spoiled kid, you know?" I joke, but she ignores me, too tired to answer, or she doesn't really mind about it
I finished helping her get ready and walked with her in my arms, and Anthony dragged his way to the door, stopping by only to check if mom was alright. She was still asleep, so we walked outside, heading to their school.
"Can I ask you something?" Anthony starts to speak with a small smirk on his lips, so I nod so he can keep going. "Can we go to work with you today? Like we used to do sometimes when you worked at the restaurant or at the cafeteria, you know." He looked at me with puppy eyes, putting his hands in a begging way. I roll my eyes playfully.
"Well, I don't think this would be really possible with my new job, but we can try someday." I tell him, not even believing in my own words, but it's not like I'm ruining this right now.
"Yay!" He yells, jumping around while I laugh at him
"Alright, here we are." I tell them as I have the sight of their school. I put Ava down while she fake cries but stops as soon as she sees her friends, running into them.
"Bye, Ellie!" Ant shout, getting in the tip of his toes to kiss my cheek and soon running to his friends while I wave at them.
Now it's time for my school. Unfortunately.
My way to school goes fast and sound. Milo finds me on my way, staring to ramble about random things and a couple of parties. I am mostly just nodding pr humming at him because I can't pay attention to the talking. My mind keeps going all the way around until it's back into the conversation, but that's just my ADHD, and Milo just understands by now.
By the time we get to our respective classes, we have to tear apart from each other since I have physics and he has Spanish. I sit on the back of the class, laying my head as I wait for the teacher to come in.
