TW: SICKENESS
I lead her to the couch in my trailer. She looked hold aback, although she didn't complain about it. She sits there, quiet.
"Are you feeling better now?" I ask her. She nods her head slightly, pressing her lips together. I draw my eyebrows up as I see her constant quivering. Taking my hands to her forehead, I can feel the heat coming out of her. "Oh, babe, I think you have a bit of a fever." I let her know, letting out a sigh.
However, she just stares at me, not saying a thing. I open my mouth to say something but decide to keep it for later.
"Do you want me to take you home? I'm free now. I'd just have to let the others know. What do you think about it?" I question, worried about her.
"Okay." She mumbles, looking down. I can see she's reluctant, but noticing she can't do much now, she just gives up.
I give her a soft hand-squeeze and smile, making my way to outside of the trailer.
"You're leaving?" I hear her voice a little louder than before. I enter the trailer again, glaring at her.
"Yeah, I'll let the others know. It's only gonna take a minute. Is this fine with you?" I tilt my head to the side, putting the pieces together.
"No, uhm, it's fine, I'll wait for you." She is quick to say it. I nod and slowly step out of the door, checking if she really is fine.
Seeing her soft smile, telling me to go, I close the door and walk to the main building set, looking for anyone. I enter the green room, which is the place where everyone likes to be in, so it's most likely to have someone in here.
"Oh, hey, Scar." I greet her quickly, seeing her sat on one of the seats, snacking some chips.
"Hey, Lizzie. Did something happen? You look stressed." She speaks, covering her mouth full of food while she gets up, getting closer to me and placing a hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah, I just wanted to let you know that I'm leaving now. Eileen is not feeling very well, so I'm taking her home." I let her know. "Could you tell Anthony and Joe?" I ask her, not wanting to spend much more time here with a sick kid.
"Sure. Let me know how you guys are doing then." She smiles at me, giving me a reassuring nod.
I return the gesture and start making my way back to the trailer. While I walk, I keep thinking of what I can do. Maybe explain what's happening to her mother. But what if she's at work or something? Should I stay there until she comes back? Eileen doesn't seem well enough to be all by herself.
As I open the door, I can see her eyes on me. They're still a bit watery, but she's a little less pale than before.
"Shall we go?" I ask her, smiling, trying to make her humor go up. In response, I get a simple nod.
She stands up swiftly from the couch, walking out of the trailer with me. As soon as she does it, I lock the door. I place my hand carefully over her shoulders, making sure she's okay with that. I'm not sure it's because she's not really feeling herself or if she just trusts me, but she let me keep my arms around her. Well, I prefer to think it's the second option.
We get to my car and I open the door for her. She glares at me quickly, asking if I'm sure about it. I just smile at her and agree. I can see her swallowing uncomfortably and getting in the car, but before I can close the door, she holds it. I furrow my eyebrows confused.
"What's wrong, sweetie?" I ask her and exist the car, shifting her weight from one foot to another. Glaring at the ground, she quietly answers me.
"You know, that's probably not a good idea. You have to work, and I'm not feeling very good, and I don't want to get your car dirty." She rambles in a low voice, still not looking at me in the eyes.
