"somethings are a sweet reward in the face of despair, fear or such feelings"

"What no ofcourse I do" she answered with full energy, her face and eyes sparkling.

"Then we will deal with the customers right now, and discuss our contract when it's time to close for the day" I said, walking to the gas stove, taking her place and looking at the orders.

"Sure!" Isla agreed clapping her hands out of excitement.
"Thankyou" she added in a low but sincere voice, her voice was low enough to not let anyone hear it, but I did, I heard you.

The day ended, and we put on the close sign on the restaurant, now we sat on the table, sitting across eachother, with a paper full of writing between us.

"I only have 2 conditions, I hope you will respect them" I said, in a serious voice, with my hands crossed on my chest.

"Uh sure, what are they?" Isla asked, ready and curious.

"First, if there's any problem you should tell me first, you can't take any decision without telling me" I said, telling her my first condition, ofcourse I have to know all that you are suffering, to help you.

"Wait what? Why?" Isla said, protesting as she she almost slammed her hands on the table, i understand, my this condition might have sounded unreasonable and ridiculous, but I have to do it.

"Don't you want me to work for you?" I attacked her question with another question, attacking her weak point, being well aware how hard it is to find a good but cheap chef.

Isla sighed deeply on her situation, with her head resting on her hand. After much pondering she finally came to a solution.

"Alright, what is the second condition?" She asked while straightening her back, and with a determined look on her face.

"Second condition, don't fall in love with me, never" I said breaking our eye contact, with my heart heavy.

"Are you serious? I didn't know you were a narcissist" Isla said as she rolled her eyes with a annoyed face. Funny.

"Huh? What did you just say? Maybe I will keep working in that old restaurant, bye" I teased her.

"No no Mr narcissus flower, I meant the narcissus flower, not narcissist, you know they sound similar right, hahah" Isla said, with an awkward laugh.

"Very well then" I said while nodding and with a cheeky smile.

"Close your restaurant for 5 days" I said.

"Why?" Isla asked, shocked.

"First we should decide on the menu which is right, and remove the dishes that are not doing well and stuff, and also change the layout of the restaurant a little" I said with confidence as if I already had all that planned, but fully determined to take her out of this poverty phase.

"Hm I understand, time is changing, we should change as well" Isla said, fully understanding my thoughts.

"Then we do that?" I asked.

"Certainly" Isla replied, with a big smile, and a looked on her face that it felt like she already started getting ideas.

"Now go rest, and I will too, we have a lot of work to do starting tomorrow" I said as I stood up from the seat, getting ready to leave.

"Alright, sleep well" Isla said politely, as she walked me to the door.

....

(Isla's pov)

Coming back from the restaurant, I layed on my bed, hugging my teddy bear.
Fortunately my problem is solved, because of a certain someone... I wonder what changed his mind, but he did looked determined to help me make my restaurant better... he is a good person...

I can imagine my restaurant flourishing well and my mom waking up and us having fun, it's making me happy.

With happiness and excitement surrounding me, I fell asleep, eager to see wht will happen tomorrow.

The next day didn't take long to arrive, getting ready I leave for the restaurant. Infront of the restaurants door, stood Liam, leaning on the door and waiting, sunlight falling on his face, highlighting his face, But that very sunlight seemed to be bothering him.

"Hiiii!, Good morning" I waved to liam, greeting him as I walked towards him with bigger steps and a smile on my face.

"Good morning" Liam greeted me as well with a smile as he let go off his support that he leaned on,
"Did you sleep well?" He added, concerned visible on his face, you must really be a soo good person to worry for a stranger.

"Yes I did, thankyou for being the cure to my worry" I said with a smile and taking my hands to cup my own face.
"What about you, did you sleep well?" I asked,
"Yeah, I did"
Lie. His eyes look weary, tired, and if you did sleep they wouldn't be like that.
I wonder what kept you so awake that you ended up being like this.
But i feel like I shouldn't ask you about this... so I will wait till you are comfortable enough to tell me yourself.

"Shall we get started then?" Liam asked, getting me out of my thoughts.
Taking a deep breath I nodded, as nervousness began hitting me, I hope everything will be successful.

"What do you think of the seats and sitting arrangements?" Liam asked while looking around the dining area of this restaurant.

"To be honest, they look a little bit old..." I said in a bit of a whisper as I hesitated.

"Yeah, I understand"
"What about this?" Liam asked as he took some files from his bag.

"Oh! It's a design" I said, looking at the files that Liam handed me, filed full of designs and a witness of his efforts, don't tell me this is what you were doing whole night.
"But won't they be expensive?" I added as I scanned his beautiful, passionate designs.

"If you want to, then they are not" Liam said,
"I have a friend who makes these, if you want I can ask him for help" he Said as he looked at the papers with his hand, while another hand resting on the head of the chair.

"Will it be ok?" I asked with a concerned look, and a little bit of guilt as he is doing too much for me...

"Ofcourse it is, and if I'm doing anything I want it to be perfect" Liam reasoned, it felt like he had read my mind.

"Oh ok then, thankyou"
I replied.
We continued, trying to do our best to make this restaurant glow.
