"You're that missing piece of mine, without which I'm not even as much as half of me"

(Isla's pov)

After I was finally done greeting the people that cein introduced me to, I looked back at our table just to find it empty...
Where did Liam go?
And when we were playing he was drinking alot too... is he ok?

I tried calling his number a few times, but no response, and cein looked busy with his friends. Maybe I should go out and look for him.

I walked down the dark empty hallways, looking for Liam, but no sign of him. Did he go back to his room? I wondered, as I began to walk towards his room, to make sure that he is there. But as I reached his door, I find his room locked, that means he is still not here... then where?

Taking a deep breath, I stop at one of the windows in the hallway, my eyes fall out of the window- only to find Liam sitting passed out under a tree in the garden.

I ran to Liam sitting under a tree, I crouched down on his level, his body resting against the tree, with his eyes closed.

"Liam? Liam are you ok?" I asked, worried, shaking his body gently as an attempt to wake him up. He reeks of alcohol... he must have gotten drunk. I should take him back to his room.

"Liam" I call out his name again.
And finally his eyes flutter open, and he looked at me but strangely, with signs of tears in his eyes.

"Isla? You are here?" He said, in a low voice, as if trying to suppress his many emotions.

"Yes I'm, and you don't look well, let's get you to your room" I say, worried, as I noticed his condition.

"Will you leave me again?" He asked, looking at me straight in my eyes, his dark eyes carrying silver tears. Liam made such a sad face, like he was finally showing all his pain.

"Cmon, I never left you liam" i said, laughing a little, trying to make him feel atleast a little better.

"No, you did, 5 years ago..." he replied, this time a tear finally escaping his voice.

"What"

The tears started to stream down Liam's face, as he gently grabbed on my hands,
"Isla, please, I beg you, please don't leave me this time, please... ok?" Liam's voice cracked as he spoke inbetween his cries, begging me to not leave him.

"Hey, don't worry, I'm ur boss, I won't leave such a great chef" I said, trying to make Liam laugh.

"No... before my boss... you were my love..." Liam stated. What. love? Does Liam have a crush on me? Wait seriously?

"W-what do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"It separated us, made a contract to never be together again..." Liam continued to cry.

"What "it"?" I asked.

"The pawn" Liam replied, as he continued to cry. Holding my hands.

"Pawn?" I asked, is it really that pawn? That genie uncle pawn?

"I loved you, and I still do" Liam voice cracked.
"I try to not love you, to not think about us, I try... try to... to get over my selfish desires... but... but I'm so bad" he said, crying, his head hanging low. The moonlight fell on his face, highlighting the look in his eyes, and my breath hitched seeing his eyes... his eyes carried intense pain... and love at the same time, that was so clear that even I could tell.

"Liam.. what are you-" I don't know what to say, I don't understand what is happening.

"That day, when the fire caught-" He sniffled.
