Winter had to say, she was actually kind of excited for this date.

The man in question was campus sweetheart Lee Jeno, and his crescent eyes and strong jawline had wowed every SM High student with eyes and an intact sense of physical attraction. He walked around, flaunting his broad shoulders and bold personality with every step he made, and Winter had managed to score a date with him.

Okay, maybe managed wasn't quite the word. Winter's best friend, Ningning, had insisted that for one night at her party, Winter should dress up. Ningning was an extremely persuasive person, so Winter ended up wearing a practically see-through top and a short skirt she would never normally wear.

Jeno was at the party also, wearing baggy jeans and a compression shirt that clung to his fit figure like it was doing him a favor. Winter felt her stomach turn at the sight- with nervousness or attraction, she couldn't quite tell- and as she watched him pull his leather jacket around himself and eye her up and down, she instantly knew that she was the next target.

"Hey, did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" he began, grinning, his hands in his pockets, and Winter nearly snorted up her drink.

"Not as much as talking to you hurts me," she replied, taking a quick swig of whatever liquid was currently swirling in her glass. Ningning had said something about tequila? She wasn't quite sure.

"Ouch, beautiful," Jeno said, pretending to be insulted, but then just as a group of people streamed out of another room, he ducked behind them, and Winter, confused, followed.

"Whew, sorry about that," Jeno said, shrugging off his jacket and breaking whatever character he had assumed minutes ago. "My friends were watching, and they wanted me to impress you or some shit with pickup lines and whatever game they think I have. Sorry again. That was embarrassing. I hope you don't think I'm a total creep now."

Winter blinked, once, twice, then burst out laughing. "You're good."

"Oh, God, thanks," Jeno sighed, rubbing his forehead. "You know, you are really pretty, though," he added, a shy smile on his face.

"Oh. Thanks."

Winter wasn't quite sure what to reply. Wasn't this Lee Jeno? Campus heartthrob? And who in the world got anywhere in high school by being nice?

"Yeah, no problem," he said, his confident smile reappearing. "Winter, right? I've seen you around. I think we've got some classes together. God, I hate Kwon. He's such an ass teacher. And he's totally down bad for Choi in chemistry."

The sudden subject change freaked out Winter at first, but she laughed. Jeno wasn't wrong. She agreed with him, and said so.

The rest of the night passed in kind. No one got laid, no one kissed. It was just Winter and Jeno, talking until the morning, until he asked her out and she said yes.

Which brought her to her closet, where she was obsessing with Ningning over what to wear.

"It's a movie, so nothing too showy or he'll think I'm overdressing," Winter fretted, ripping through her closet. "And I can't wear anything too covering too, because then he'll think I don't want him to touch me."

"Gross, Win," Ningning snorted, taking out a pair of skinny jeans and a sparkling tube top. "How about this?"

"Isn't the neckline a little... low...? And it's shiny?" The discomfort was clear in Winter's voice as she panicked.

"Girl, no one will be looking at your rack when the movie starts, and besides, show a little skin! You're not a nun, for God's sake. Also, you're wearing jeans. And a shirt. Come on. Shouldn't that be enough?"
